Annual Pass question

I know this has probably been asked but I wasn't able to find the answer...Is it possible to use a WDW annual pass at DL? We are planning a trip to WDW in Nov, 2012 and then DL in June, 2013. We will most likely be going back to WDW in Oct, 2013 so we would like to see if we can get 3 visits out of the APs. However, I'm not sure you can use the annual passes at both parks.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm pretty sure you need a Premier pass if you want to use it both places.
Nancy

Nancy is correct. Gotta get the Premier (at getting scarily close to $800 per person) to use an AP at both places.

Thanks for the quick responses! I'll have to calculate to see if the Premier pass is worth it. I'm also a DVC member. Does anyone know if there is a DVC discount on the Premier passes?

There is no additional discount for anyone with the premier pass. (and like DLR APs, it's the same cost for everyone 3 and older)

If you think of it as getting a Premium AP for WDW and a Premium AP for DLR, and if you NEED those types of APs for both and will USE them (no blockout dates for DLR, waterparks included for WDW), then it's definitely a discount situation.

I haven't yet been able to make it work out, because we just don't need an AP for both parks in the same year. And because we get the DVC discount on the APs for each park the math gets harder to justify.

Just have to compare what you need and will use, and the money for an AP for one and ticket for the other (or just tickets for both), depending on your solid plans and nearly solid plans!

It was worth it for us to justify the Premier Passes this time around.

*November 2011- WDW 7 days (lots of merchandise discounts)
*January/February 2012- DL 7 days (food discounts rock! lots of merch)
*May 2012- WDW 7 days
*October 2012- WDW 3 or 4 days
*October 2012- DL 4 or 5 days

For next year, if I decide to renew... it will probably only be a WDW pass--but it was worth it this year for the DL trips and the food/merch discounts there.

If we were DVC... we'd have to weigh the options out.

There are food discounts at DL with a Premier pass? Hmmm...I'll have to do the math to see if it is beneficial.

Here is the page that shows the discounts with DLR APs. The Premier pass counts as a Premium pass for both DLR and WDW.

Unlike at WDW where the dining discounts with an AP are spotty and strange (unless you buy the TIW card in which case the discounts are lovely and fabulous), DLR AP discounts on dining are pretty much a constant.

Speaking of TIW, remember that if you buy the Premier pass, you can buy the TIW card at a deep discount. Those discounts make a big difference if the the visits to WDW will be plentiful.

Actually all DVC members can buy a TIW card now. They pay $100 (like Florida residents) instead of $75 unless they are AP holders too.
