Hey guys, Im pretty sure Im gonna get an annual pass when I visit the park, But I am curious as although Ive read the pass gives 10% discount in stores, Ive also read on various sites a pretty full list of excluded things, What can I actually get discount on? The list contained most normal souvenirs, like books and dvds (does that include the park souvenir dvd?) Is all I can get discount on really like, dl keychains?

There are only certain shops that give the AP discount but the merchandise in those shops isnt limited, not that I am aware of. We have bought many items over the years, if the Shop offers the discount, it is on your purchase, any purchase, as far I know

Ive lost the site that said it, but it was along the lines of this, which is for WDW annual passes. left me scratching my head lol

"Discount is not valid on purchases of ticket media, gift certificates, Disney gift cards, videos, DVDs and CDs, Disney Dollars, sundries, periodicals, digital and video cameras, disposable cameras, film, consumer electronics (e.g., CD players, TVs, DVD players), tobacco, alcohol, In-Park balloon vendors, Add-a-Dollar (Wildlife Conservation Fund), postage stamps, rentals (e.g. strollers, ECV, etc.), all Titleist® and Cobra® golf equipment, National brand fragrances, treatments and cosmetics, Personalization, Imaging and PhotoPass® products, Lladro, Armani, Hummel, Swarovski® Crystal, Walt Disney Classics Collection, other collectibles and select merchandise"

Got it. the link you gave me was for WDW and DL in the States

10% off except on certain articles and except at Golf Disneyland (Exceptions; books, stamps, phone cards, newspapers, video-cassettes, DVDs, CDs, CD-Roms, photo- and video-material, limited editions by Arribas, Swarovski Collection, Kodak-products, photo development services, limited edition products, souvenir coins, spirits, basic food and hygiene products; at Golf Disneyland only for items branded by Golf Disneyland; not in the shops of Rainforest Café, King Ludwig's Castle and Planet Hollywood)

Oh goodness, forgot what forum I was on, sorry
Just read through it myself, there seems some changes have been made, less discounts and options :(

so to clarify disneylandarchives, are you talking about the AP discount exclusions at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, sorry, wasnt thinking as theres all different forums, Yes Disneyland Paris Annual Passes, Just something Im thinking about alot, shop discount is one of the more important aspects between the passes for me, im thinking fantasy pass, the extra magic hours and discount would be what would make me jump to dream pass, but if its not that much to get discount on, is it worth it?

Not sure if the DLRP Magic site is up to date on AP discounts but the site here may be useful :)

Hi there.

I have used my Dream Pass to get discounts on all the usual souvenir stuff, clothing, teatowels, toys, keyrings etc etc.

And a pretty large amount we saved with it too!

My girls love handing over their pass to get a discount, it makes them feel really special!

Yes, Ive used that site alot in planning my trip, sadly it doesnt say whats excluded, neither does the official disneyland paris site, which is annoying, Not sure if its worth paying the extra to get the dream just for the EMH if most of what i buy in the stores isnt discounted, hmmmm :-)

it might help, if you have an idea of what kind of souvenirs you might like to buy at DLP, if you tell us what kind of things you're looking to buy. then us AP holders could let you know if we've had the AP discount on those kinds of souvenirs?

Sorry to butt in here but I have read somewhere (can't recall where!) that it does not include limited edition stuff.

Does anyone know if that includes limited edition pins? I know they are limited edition by description but as they are so cheap I wondered if it meant expensive LEs such as dolls etc? Or is it all LE stuff, even 7 euro stuff for example :confused3

From what i can gather, I think the limited edition refers to things like youd get drom disney gallery, such as lithographs or prints, or models of rides and things, I wouldnt expect pins to be included in it

Unless they changed the rules with the new year you'll get the 10 percent for Limited Edition pins. I bought a lot in December and got the discount.

disneylandarchives the only reasons I'd buy a Dream Pass personally would be if my dates included a Fantasy blockout date, or I desperately wanted to use EMH every day of my stay.

A dream pass costs 50 euros more than a fantasy. you get 10% discount on souvenirs with a fantasy pass, 20% with a dream pass. the restaurant discounts are the same with both passes.

so in effect, to make the most of the Dream Pass souvenir discount difference, you'd need to be spending over 500 euros on just souvenirs. Are you likely to be doing that?

The souvenirs i would buy would probably include things like the parks souvenir dvd, maybe a park soundtrack cd, disneyland books about the park, as well as some smaller souvenirs like photoalbums and keychains and ears. As the dvds/cds/books would be the most expensive and im reading these are excluded im in two minds, MAYBE it refers to movies, such as if i went and bought cars 2 and a cars 2 book, rather than "disneyland" books and dvds?

Thanks for the confirmation on the LE pins :-) Might save me a little bit ;-)
