Annual Pass Question

OK, I'm trying to do a cost comparison on ticket prices to get the best possible deal for our Christmas trip. I'm looking at the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. The cost for our whole family is only $50 more than what buying Florida Resident 4-day Park Hopper tickets would be, so it seems like a no brainer. My question is, if you purchase the Seasonal Passes, do you get the same benifits of the Annual Passes (i.e. hotel discounts, etc.)? Also, if you have the Seasonal Pass, and want to add the dining plan to your trip, is that available, and do you add it when you check in? Thanks for your help!

The dining plan is added to your room package, not your pass. You must buy a MYW room package to add the dining plan, which includes a rack rate (full price) room and at least a 1 day MYW ticket (unless you are a DVC member staying on points at a DVC resort). You can take the 1 day pass and apply the value to the AP if you buy it when you get there. You must buy the room package in advance, not at check-in.

The seasonal pass is blacked out for December 22, 2006 to January 5, 2007. When were you planning on going?

We are going December 15 to 18 2006, so the timing will work out well for us.

The seasonal pass does NOT include Theme Park Parking.

That's OK too, because since we live about 4 hours away, we will always be staying on property and can use Disney Transportation. There are always specials for the value resorts for Florida Residents - almost makes it worth putting up with the hurricanes!!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you for this link - I checked it out and there was some great information. I'm wondering if it would be a better idea to do the Disney Dining Experience instead of the straight Dining Plan. Does anyone have any opinions on the pros and cons?

We prefer the Disney Dinning Experience. My DH just will not eat all that food and you spend a lot of time eating when you do the dinning plan. This way we eat just what we want and not feel the need to have to eat. However, if you are big eaters and can eat all that food then the dinning plan would probably work out better for you. Just think of how your "normal" eating habits are at Disney and plan accordingly.
