Annual pass question--good for exactly 365 days?

I currently have the Platinum+ pass because of last year's DVC promotion. I need to renew now but really don't need the Platinum+ pass. Will I be able to renew this pass to a Gold pass and get the 15% renewal savings?

At renewal time, you can upgrade/downgrade to any level of annual pass you are entitled to and keep the renewal savings.

Starts 60 days prior to expiration and runs until 30 days after expiration.

Just note, the expire date will be the same date as your current AP +1 year, regardless if you buy 60 days early or 30 days late.
