I'm really excited because we have managed to get the time/date/location we want for our Disney Wedding - May 8th 2008, Sea Breeze Point - and we have just downloaded the contract to sign. This is the first I knew of the added annual passes ( I know you have all been discussing the price increases/annual pass addition for the past couple of weeks, but we have been cruising the Med and internet access was rubbish on board, so I've got some catching up to do!)
we were already concidering buying an annual pass for one of us, because of the dining experience card and discounts. Although we will only be at the Boardwalk for 10 days around our wedding, we also have a trip to Vero planned this November for 13 days and the DDE card is valid there too.

My question to all previos Disney brides is this, when do you get your annual pass? I already know you do not need to activate the pass to buy the DDE card, but my guess is we probably won't get the passes until we check in at the Boardwalk - or at least until we have paid for the whole wedding! LOL

Perhaps this is one of the things I ned to discuss with our wedding coordinator. Right now I am just so happy we got our first choice - now the planning can officially begin! ( and it won't be long before I start a planning thread;) )

I think that you receive your vouchers after your signed contract and deposit have been received. They are not activated until you take them to the parks. As for buying the DDE card you will use the code found on your voucher.

Maddiesmum03, I can only speak for myself. I received my WDW Annual Pass vouchers a little less than two months prior to my custom vow renewal. And I had to inquire about them.

When they called me to tell me they received my contract, I inquired on getting the AP since my fiance and I are planning a trip in June (I already have an AP but getting his now would save us some money) and I was told that they will send them out at the beginning of this week - certified mail.

I have just had experience in this situation myself. We are going in 9 days for a week, and planning all along to buy AP which would get us through our wedding on March 18, 2008. So when the news about the AP being added to Intimate Weddings came out, we thought, that's great, but because we are using our DVC points through 2009 for wedding guests, we wouldn't need new AP's until 2010. Not that much of help right now. So I asked my WC if we could get them and use them now, and save that money we already have for the planned AP purchase this time. She said she didn't know, but would check around. After a few days she came back and said they would send them as soon as they received our contract and deposit. We faxed, and then will ship via FedEx our contract, and she is Priority Mailing our AP vouchers to us.

The thing I have learned about Disney, if it's really important to you, never settle for the first answer you get. Typically somebody else can make something happen, if your first person cannot.

Good Luck! Hope this helps!

thanks everyone, for your replys. It's great news that we should be able to get the AP's ahead of time. At least using DDE at Vero in November will offset the price increase a bit!

I just found this out too, and started a new thread about it, because I didn't bother to look through the other one (sorry everyone). I am sooo excited toooo.....yyyayyayay!!! I had NO idea until now.
