I'm thinking about getting an annual pass for our short trip to also get the other discounts. How do I buy it online? Will I get a ticket to print out, and then take that to the gate? I'm assuming I need to get a picture taken and a card printed... where does that happen and how long does that take?

The last time I ordered an AP online I got the vouchers in the mail (i'm sure you can get some sort of E ticket as well). Then I took the vouchers to the ticket booth where they gave me a ticket to get into the park. Then you have to go to the Bank on Main Street (it's directly to the right when you first walk under the tunnel) and that's where they'll take your picture and give you your actual AP. We waited until we were about to leave the park that day to go to the bank so since it was late there wasn't anyone there and it only took a couple minutes to take the pic and get the passes printed out.

That makes sense... silly me thought you should go right away to get that done, but who cares, you are already inside.

If they mail them, how early do I need to order them? Does it count from when you order them or the first day you use it?

We just upgraded our park hoppers. We went just before 11:30 and it wasn't crowded. In fact, that is what we were doing when the earthquake hit. We just made sure we used our MMs first. Then it was nice to have them to get discounts on food.

Tip- get your picture taken BEFORE you ride on a wet ride! :thumbsup2

Ours were taken right after the quake and let me tell you it is not my best picture! :rotfl:

Actually when you buy an annual pass online you just print it out at home. You don't even have to go to the ticket window, just go directly to the gate and into the park, and then you go to main street bank to get your permanent pass
