We have purchased FL Res APs online and will be driving to the park early in the morning. If I understand right, the only place to activate the APs is at the ticket counter at the parks and the only way to get free AP parking is to have an activated pass - is that right??

Is there any way to avoid paying parking the 1st day? We are buying 1 preferred just for the discounts/free parking, so it would be great if we could take advantage of the free parking.

How long of a walk is it from the "guest drop off" to the closest ticket booth? Would it be closer to be dropped off at one of the resorts (HRH)?
Can I activate my husband's pass or does he have to show his ID and be present? I assume I can activate the kids'...

Or should do we just have to bite the bullet and pay the 15 (16?) bucks? :worried:

Thanks!

I believe on their website it says parking is free after the first day, so I'm assuming Universal expects you to pay for parking on the first day.

For the wasted time and effort to do a guest drop off ect, just bit the bullet and pay the $$$$.

If someone waits for you in the HRH drive through front circle, it will probably take you a good half an hour to walk from there to the park, wait to get through the gate and then walk back again.

Just go ahead and pay, but make sure you get a receipt. When you pick up the tickets, see if they will credit that fee back to your card. Disney will do this. It is worth a shot.
