Hello,

We are going to Universal Orlando in early October, for 4 days. When I was looking at pricing it seemed to be pretty comparable to get annual passes then 4 days of park to park tickets. It will be for 3 of us, and just myself going to HHN for 1 night.
We won't have a car so parking doesn't matter. I would appreciate any input

Thanks!

If it helps, we're in the same situation and decided to get the annual passes. We're staying off-site. For the slight cost difference, if we decide to sneak another trip in sometime it will be worth it. Having said that we tend to be in the Orlando area several times a year.

if you plan to repeat doing this park again within the year, getting an ap would make it worth it.

if you go with the power pass, there will be black out dates for park admission.
if you go with the next one up, preferred pass, figure out the costs in case it would still be worth it.

only one in your group needs the ap for the discounts on food, merch, tickets and hard ticket events.

if you decide to purchase park tickets, check out UT, mousesavers on the 15th each month for additional ticket discounts and maple leaf
tickets are a tad cheaper thru them on park tickets than buying direct form UO.
or if one in your party has the ap, discount on park tickets with that will include a discount.

I just upgraded my 2 day + 1 day free park to park tix for free over the weekend. I purchased the tix through Orbitz, going through Ebates first for an additional savings. I waited until our last day in the park to inquire about the upgrade and was expecting to pay a little bit of difference, but the guy said they were the exact same price. Just remember if you plan to upgrade regular tix to a Power Pass, you must wait until the end of the last day if you there during a blockout period. Now hopefully my nephews and I will be able to return within a year. I already had a Power Pass from my upgrade last fall so I had to upgrade it at the start of our visit to Preferred Pass since we went during a Blockout period. Having the discount on food and merchandise was a nice bonus.

Even going 3 or 4 times in a whole year makes the annual pass worth it.

We went last October and I decided to get the annual pass just for me and it was well worth it. We only go once every year and sometimes every 2 years but we find that it's well worth the cost for the hotel discounts etc. We are not going this year but I am keeping my pass for next year it all depends on what you feel comfortable with.

i always renew my preferred pass.
started with it back in 2003 and renew each year.
back then, it was well under $100 to renew.

now with the preferred pass up there in price, the renewal amount has held the same for a few years.
$170.xx which includes taxes.
if i don't use it for my hotel room discount, it pays off big time for hhn tickets.
