Does anyone in Canada receive a paper copy or do they just send out e-mail ones?

I don't recall seeing any in my inbox and I have had an AP since October.

I haven't received either a paper copy or anything in my inbox.

I purchased an AP for Disneyland in December, but haven't received a newletter either by email or in print. BTW is their a welcome packageor something similar that an AP holder gets when they buy a pass?

I got my original Annual Pass in December 2008 and never got this mailed or sent via e-mail after I registered my Annual Pass on the Passholder website. Last month I renewed by Annual Pass and put my new ticket number on the Passholder website so it will be intresting to see what happens, although I doubt anything will change.

anything either. We've only had our annual pass since September 2009; however, if I'm reading the website correctly it indicates that the Mickey Monitor is only mailed to passholders in the US. I was expecting to receive one in December and went looking for info and saw this on the site. I sure hope I'm wrong, but I think that's the case. :confused3 We are heading back down in a few weeks and we were planning on checking at guest services to see what they have to say.

YGAFIM is correct.....we had an AP last year and registered online. I emailed Disney directly about receiving the newsletter by mail, and was told it is indeed only mailed to passholders in the US only. I don't believe that's fair considering we pay the same as the US holders do, and I let them know it. Of course they just advised me I could still 'view' it online at the Passholders website. Gee, thanks. :sad2:

Wow I never knew that and your right that it's not fair since we do pay the same price as any American visitors do.

When you get your AP it comes in a little ticket folder that has inserts w/ info on where your discounts are available - it's just as easy to view them online & probably more up to date.

Renewal ? - has anyone renewed before their expiry date & received the extra 3 months three? TIA.

We've had annual passes since I think 2003 and we've never received the Mickey Monitor. We were told that they couldn't mail them outside of the US because of customs rules!!!! Now you can see them online at the passholders site. There's usually not that much special in them that isn't already known by people on the boards.

We renewed in October when our passes expired and got the 3 month extension. We are good to go for 2010 since they don't expire til Jan 2011! We already used them in December.

I agree, we should get the newsletter. We just purchased our first annual pass in June and was disappointed that the newsletter didn't come to Canada.

Interesting....I wasn't given that answer. :confused3
What I don't understand is, if that is the case, why was I able to get the Disney Magazine mailed over here no problem? The Monitor is thinner and likely requires less postage than a magazine......they should have no problem mailing out the Newsletter to us Canadians!

Yep, that's it! :thumbsup2

Its easy enough to access it online, but it would just be nice to have a hard copy at my disposal like the US residents do.....plus I like to collect 'all things Disney'.....

I am a DVC member and receive the Disney Files Magazine in the mail, and I also receive the Annual Planner book every two years in the mail.

So how come I can receive the Disney Files magazine, but not the Mickey Monitor in Canada?

Anyone notice the fine print at the bottom of the last page

"Visit disneyworld.com/passholder for access to our special Passholder pages. We’ve posted some great new offers here as well as updated 2010 Passholder benefits and other useful information. Seasonal block-out dates: December 19, 2009–January 1, 2010; March 27, 2010–April 9, 2010; June 12, 2010–August 19, 2010; December 18, 2010–January 1, 2011."

I know that the AP rates already blocked out March 27th to April 9th? But this should be an indication that something will open up for the fall and winter.

Ted

I seem to be the only one that was given the 3 month extention on the AP for a first time purchase.

I'm now able to go this year at the same time I went last year.
