Annual pass names on MDE - not activated

I bought a couple of AP’s a while back. They have not been activated ( expiry 2099 or something )
They were assigned to me and ex on MDE but not used.
Ive now changed the names on them to both mine as I bought them. Are the names on MDE somewhat irrelevant as its the finger scan that links them to the owner once first used in Disney ?

Actually, a legal photo ID will be required to activate the AP before its first use.
But, until that time, the name and "ownership" is not very important.
After activation... THEN, the finger scan will come into play (after the special covid-19 anti-touch rules go away.)
