Hello,

I'm visiting disneyland for the 2nd time next week with the kids due to purchasing 2fer tickets. We've decided to upgrade our 2fer tickets to annual passes.

I know this question is most likely redundant and silly but i'm just afraid I'll get to disneyland and have it all wrong and ruin the whole trip we've planned. Plus this is my mothers day gift from my husband.

Ok Please verify i'm correct on this.

I went to disneyland 2 weeks ago with a 2fer ticket.
I'm going back but instead of going to california adventure, I'm going to the ticket counter to upgrade my 2 fer's to an annual pass.

I'm purchsing a so cal select annual pass for $129, so all I do is give my 2fer tickets to the ticket agent and an additional $63 per person and they will give me a so cal select annual pass right? There is no additional cost plus they will let you do this even though they are both special offers?

I would just hate to get to the ticket agent and have them say "NO you can't combine the offers or something" and now were stuck with no annual passes. Plus honestly this is the only way we can afford to do the annual pass, after spending the money 2 weeks ago, I can't afford an additional 129 for passes.

Sorry again for the redundant question.

Melissa

You should be able to. The issue for you may be the starting date of your AP. I believe with park hoppers, they have used the first day you used the park hopper. Just as long as there is a monetary value on the ticket.

Thank you,

I don't mind if the start date starts on the first day we bought the ticket just as long as I can upgrade to the $129 AP's

Yup, that's exactly right. And you don't have to go to the ticket booth first, you can use your 2-fers to get in, go to the bank and upgrade there. They will take your pictures and process your payment in the bank.

You might want to put a "parking" option on one of the passes. As after 6 trips it has paid for itself. If you choose to do that make sure that you take that days parking pass in with you so you can get the credit for it.

On the parking note it really is worth it. Parking I think was $11 and now they have raised it to $12.

Actually I think they have to do it at the ticket booths since they can only access DCA with their partial 2-fers since they already did Disney. Besides that way they can get a few food discounts.

And yes do parking!!! Its well worth it!

No, they can still get into DCA and process their AP's. They don't have to do it at the booth. They can get a voucher at DCA that will allow them to park hop and go to DL to get the AP's. I just don't know where in DCA they can do it because we went to DL with our AP vouchers. You can get the AP voucher at the ticket booths though, that's how we did ours last year. :)

We did this last week with no problem. And yes definitely get the parking on at least one pass. Just make sure to check the date on your card for when it expires!

I took my kids for the first time since getting the APs yesterday and come to find out my oldest dd's card said it expired April of '08 instead of '09!! Yikes, luckily the did let us in to fix it and all was well...but I was soooo worried it was going to be a problem. I told my husband about it when we got home and he checked his card and it too had an expiration of April '08!! :scared1: So we have to get his fixed next time we go too. Be sure to check it when they make your card. :goodvibes

Melissa,

What days are you going? If you are going on Fri, Sat or Sun and upgrade first thing, you will need to pay extra because it is a black out date. If you are going on Fri, Sat or Sun, you can use your day at DCA and then upgrade right before you leave and then you would avoid the blackout fee.

Actually, Disneyland is wonderful, b/c if you buy or upgrade to an AP on a blocked out day, they don't charge the fee. They are fabulous for doing that!!!!
