Annual Pass/FP+ questions

Hello all! I have 2 questions about booking FastPasses for our 2 upcoming trips with our annual passes.

1. Trip #1 is for 8 days, beginning 12/27, staying off property, I will begin making FP on 11/27. Will I only be able to book FP+ for the first 7 days of our trip and then book day #8 after using the first day? Is there any way around only being able to book 7 days? Some of our party will have 8 day tickets, so I know I will be able to book for them.

2. Trip #2 is for 4 days, beginning 2/2, staying on property, FP day is 12/3 (which overlaps with trip #1's FP making days). Will I even be able to make FP for this trip since we will already have 7 days using our annual passes?

Thanks!

#1 you are correct. You can only have 7-days of FPs
#2a Since the start of the 60-days are inside the FPs at the end of Dec, you will not be able to make FP reservations until the other ones are done. At least that is my understanding.
#2b I would not tie the APs to the room reservation. This may allow you to bypass the 7 days worth of FPs for AP holders. I would call WDW to verify though.

Correct.

That’s also correct. :)

No.

You could book these 4 days first and then book for Trip#1 but you’d only be able to pre-book 3 days of FPs for Trip #1.

As you finish up days during Trip#1, you’ll be able to book FPs for Trip#2.

1) you'll only be able to make 7 days worth of FP's. You can make your day 8 fps when you are done with day one. The only way around the 7 days of FP's is to stay onsite or buy a separate ticket.

2) you're on site so you can make FP's at 60 days for your entire trip. However when you make those 4 days of FP's, you won't be able to make your day 8 FP for your trip until your entire total of FP's drops below 7.

If you had say an 8 day on site first, then a 4 day offsite a week later, you could book all your FP's for 8 days but then you couldn't book for your off site trip until you started using your fps.

Thanks for all of your replies--your answers are what I expected. I'm so bummed--I didn't even consider this when I was planning. Hopefully, going in February will be lower crowds and we will be able to still get some decent FPs. There goes the FOP FP hope though.

You could pre-book FoP for your February trip and then book 6 days of FPs for your December trip.

Book all 8 days for the ticketed people and then use Change Party to add the AP people when you are in the ‘use a day - book a day’ mode.

I didn't even know this would be a possibility. I may give that a try. Would MK be the best park to try and change the party size? Thanks!

Yes; definitely MK.

Book your 6 must-do FP Days for your offsite stay reserving that 1 day for AK and book FoP as soon as your 60-day window opens.

The FP system maxes you out at 7 total days when you have an offsite leading to an onsite stay.

I didn't even know I could do This? Our kids have 14day ultimate in passes for our December trip . Husband and I have Aps so they won't lose their fp if I add us on on the day we go

No. If there is availability, the system will add you. If there isn’t availability, the FP remains as is. You’d then have to search for an overlapping FP for you and your husband.
