Hello all! I just purchased AP's and although I've been an AP holder in the past I have not been for the past 6 years.

How does FP+ work for AP holders?
We are heading to visit the Mouse on May 14th for a few days and are staying off property.

From the 'Walt Disney World Annual Passholders Can Enjoy MyMagic+' page:
If you are an Annual Passholder, you are also invited to plan 7 days of FastPass+ selections within any 30-day period—for 1 park per day. Your 7 days don’t have to be consecutive and you can plan for an additional day as soon as one of your existing days has passed.

You can choose up to 3 FastPass+ experiences per day up to 30 days in advance of your visit—so you can relax and enjoy the moment with your family and friends, knowing that some of your must-do attractions and entertainment are all set.

A lot of good information can also be found in this thread by mesaboy2: FastPass+ Basic Info, Suggested Priorities, And Strategies--Part II

FP+ questions like these are answered (and FP+ Priorities listed) in the highly recommended, super-complete, often discussed, gotta love it, gargantuan juggernaut, growing by leaps and bounds, constantly updated and refreshed by the DISboard's own mesaboy2... FP+ thread found HERE.

Thank you! My concern is that due to not staying on property I will not be able to get FP's for some of the more popular attractions due to the 30 day window :(

While that can be a concern for the A&E Meet and, maybe, the 7DMT...
most FP will still be available at 30 days out.
(Maybe not at a specific TIME that you want, however.)

Check THIS site to see current 60-day and 30-day (and less) availability of the more popular attractions.

We have had good luck with FP+ at both 30 days, and even a couple of really spontaneous trips at less than a week. It works great, Have a GREAT trip!

I would rather get my FP's for the newer attractions (7dwarves mine train for instance) than for my dining reservations. I have no problem switching those around :) I've been to WDW over 30 times but the train was just about to soft open on my last trip.
