Does Disney still sell and AP for both parks??? I know they did a few years ago but not sure if they still do :)

It's $1,134.72 with tax. The price includes 6.5% tax on the WDW "half" of the ticket; the DLR "half" does not have tax.

When we did the math last year, it was cheaper for us to get the deluxe AP at Disneyland and 5 day tickets to WDW than to get the premier pass. So it really just depends on if block out dates matter to you for DL and how many days you plan to spend at WDW. Have fun planning though!

Just taking into consideration the price of Disneyland Resort's Premium AP alone, the cost of the Premier AP -- while lofty -- is still a pretty good deal seeing that it includes so many things at WDW.

Thanks Sherry!

One more question (I should know the answer but it has been a while since we purchased AP's) - I can use my parkhopper tickets I already purchased for our trip in Oct and apply them towards the purchase of the Premium AP correct? Also, I can do that anytime during our DL trip before the last day of the P we leave right (I don't have to do it before the first use of the PH???)

Yes -- you can apply the value of the Hopper towards an AP and upgrade while you're there. You don't have to upgrade before the first use of the PH, although -- just to get the AP discounts at Disneyland -- you might want to upgrade early on in your trip.

As far as I know I think you can still upgrade even on your last day (someone please correct me if I am wrong on that!).

What @Sherry E says is correct on the last day of your trip to upgrade to the AP. As far as how long when the multi-day ticket expires, it is 13 days after the first day you start using the ticket. After using the first day, you have 13 days to upgrade to the AP.

You can upgrade your DL ticket to a AP on any day, as long as your ticket is still valid. My friends had a 5-day PH ticket and waited until the 5th day (mid-afternoon) to upgrade and there weren't any issues. If you do wait until the last day to upgrade, just make sure you upgrade before guest services closes that day.

In terms of when to upgrade the PH ticket, it depends on which type of ticket you have. If you have a 3-day of longer pre-purchase ticket, you'll be eligible for one Magic Morning. If you upgrade, you lose that perk, so be sure to use the Magic Morning before upgrading. Other than that, I would generally opt to upgrade as soon as possible because the shopping and dining discounts are pretty good at DLR.

On the flip side, WDW's dining and shopping discounts aren't as good (usually 10% for shopping regardless of which type of AP) and very few dining discounts. On the other than, the on-site hotel discounts for AP holders at WDW can be pretty substantial and often make it worth it to have at least one AP in the group.

We have one -- if you want more details than what has been disclosed, let us know. :)
