Annual Pass Discounts--when eligible?

If I bought an annual pass today, would I be able to make resort reservations at the annual pass discount today? Or, would I have to wait until it is "activated" at the park to take advantage of the discounts?

you can book now - when you check into the resort they'll probably ask you to produce your AP. You have 24 hours to show it to them if you don't have it at that point.

You will have to call Disney in order to book an AP rate if you only have a voucher. Current Passholders can access availability and rates thru the Passholder website. And like the PP mentioned, they may ask you to show your AP at check in or else they will give you a limited amount of time to come back and show it. Otherwise, you stand a very good chance of being charged the rack rate for your room!!!
