Has anyone heard when the annual pass discounts will be released for September?

I had been waiting for the AP rates for Sept. as well to see if I could better my current 30% public discount rate, but then saw the posts about the Travelocity deals and got a much better rate than I would have with a PIN or AP rate there.

When are you going in Sept? You should check their site to see if they have your dates and resort choice available.

Here are some of the sample rates I found:

WL $149
WL Villas $205
BC $204
BC Villas $205
YC $204
BW $204
OKW $183
AKL $149
AKL Villas $254
Poly $208
Contemporary $170
Grand Floridian $254
Saratoga $183
CBR $75
POFQ $74
All Stars $59
POP $59

Swan, Dolphin, POR, Coronado, and Fort Wilderness all seem to be at regular price.

**Keeping in mind that I am looking at the CDN rates on travelocity.ca so US rates are likely to be a bit cheaper**

If they don't have your date available, you could always keep checking while you're waiting for that AP rate to come through (I don't think it will be too much longer before Disney releases the Fall AP's... hopefully sometime in July).

Good luck!

Those are great rates. Unfortunately we love the DDP and of course you wouldn't be able to add the DDP if you go through Travelocity.

I've been doing plenty of obsessing with this and based on the historical discounts for the time period they should be out this Wednesday!

I'm currently booked at CBR (Preferred Room) for 14 nights beginning August 15 with a General Public Discount code of 30% off which would be $121.80 weekdays and $128.80 weekends. If still available on Travelocity, it looks like it would be $75 for a standard room. I've never booked with Travelocity before so I have some questions.
1) Would I still be eligible DME? Is there any downside you can think of if I don't book directly with Disney? (I'm not interested in the dining.)
2) Am I able to upgrade to a Preferred Room using Travelocity?
3) Are there any extra charges that Travelocity adds to the price of the room?
4) If necessary, can is there a number I can call at Travelocity where I can actually speak to a person?
5) What is the cancellation policy if booking through Travelocity?

Thanks so much for any help you can give?

These rates are a "time limited" offer and it's kind of hit or miss.
As I said before, it looks like they only have a handful of rooms allocated at the really discounted rates and once those are gone, the rate goes back to standard (or even higher).

These are "room only" discounts and they don't offer packages, passes, or free dining. You can probably call Disney direct about 7 to 10 days after you've made your booking with Travelocity if you want to make room requests.
For any changes regarding the booking of the hotel itself, you need to call Travelocity.

I just checked the site and it looks like most of the really good deals on the WDW hotels are almost gone.

There is a number you can call for Travelocity (you need to tell them it's regarding a "goodbuy" prepaid hotel booking).

Thanks for the replies I hope the rates are released on Wednesday! We are going September 8-12. It has been a year, I'm ready to see Mickey! I get more excited than my kids.

I've never dealt with Travelocity for Disney plans. My rule is I only deal with Disney. If there is a problem I have a person in front of me to deal with it. Have you called Disney to see if they will honor any of the rates. Some hotels do but maybe not Disney I don't know. If you click on the help button on travelocity there is a contact us and then you should find a number. Like I say and my advice to my friends is go through the Mouse himself. I don't trust my Disney vacation to anyone else. We have been 15 times since 2005. This year is the longest we have gone without traveling to Florida. Can't wait to go back!

I understand your point of view Kristie. It can be daunting when you're used to booking direct through Disney for so many years (I would say that at least 90% of our WDW trips have been booked direct through a Disney res CM).

The only thing I would say is... Travelocity is a company that has been around for many, many years (heck, I remember dealing with them for the first time back in 1998). I have booked several airfares and trips through them and never once had a problem.

For the record, I DID call Disney before I cancelled my existing GP code reservation with them to see if they would be able to give me the same rate as Travelocity. The CM literally said to me, "Are you serious? $74 dollars!!! I would book that myself right now if I could". :rotfl:

She said the best she could give me would still be the existing 30% off that I already had.

Even if an AP came out for 35 or 40 percent, it still wouldn't be close to the Travelocity rate.

Trust me, I'm not saying anything negative about Disney reservations, I'll still continue to use them for years to come and they do have great rates here and there, but it's hard to pass up a savings of over $400 (which basically pays for one of our AP renewals).

Bottom line is, as long as you feel secure and are happy with the rate you get, that's all that matters.

Crossing my fingers for the AP's to come out for you soon :wizard:

I just dealt with switching my disney resort over to the Travelocity deal yesterday so i can help you a bit.
1. yes you still would be able to get DME there was a link to DME on my confirmation info.
2. as long as there are preferred rooms available i believe you can (might be a bit more) we are booked with a pirate standard room for basically $90 a night.
3. there was a charge on my reservation of $48.68 for "tax recovery charge and service fees" when i clicked the link for it this is what it told me:

HOTEL TRANSACTIONS
We market hotel rooms on the site under two different business models. The first is the "postpaid" model (also known as the "published rate" or "traditional agency" model), where you book a room through us at published rates and you pay for that room, plus any applicable taxes, governmental fees and other charges directly to the hotel at check-out. The second business model is the "prepaid" model (also known as the "net rate" or "merchant" model), where we collect payment from you up front and then transmit funds to the hotel. We label the "prepaid" model rooms as "GoodBuy" rooms on our site because they are covered by our Low Rate Guarantee. Amounts displayed as the nightly rate for GoodBuy hotel transactions consist of the amount that the relevant hotel has agreed to accept for the room, plus a Facilitation Fee that we retain to compensate us for facilitating your travel arrangements. Amounts displayed in the "Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees" line for GoodBuy hotel transactions consist of the amount that we expect the relevant hotel to charge for any applicable taxes, governmental fees and other charges (a "Tax Recovery Charge"), plus a Processing Service Fee that we retain to compensate us for processing your travel reservation through our system. For hotels located in New York City, the Tax Recovery Charge also includes NYC's Hotel Room Occupancy Tax for bookings made on or after 9/1/09. Combining the Tax Recovery Charge with our Processing Service Fee enables us to maintain the opaque nature of the "prepaid" rate. Note that at the time your hotel reservation is made, we can only estimate the amount that the relevant hotel will collect for applicable taxes, governmental fees and other charges; we will pay the full amount of those charges in any event. Also, remember that you may incur other charges during your stay that are not payable to us and are not included in the quoted price, such as extra-person or extra-bed charges, resort fees, gratuities, hotel energy surcharges, parking fees, telephone fees, room service, movies, mini-bar, and incidentals.

there is also a $50 promo code that you can apply for the travelocity deal and that covered this charge, so in total i ended up pay $360 for 4 nights in CBR pirate..great deal, considering with disney i was paying $950 (rack rate for FD promo)

5. i'm not completely sure about cancellation policy but i did find this info in my confirmation email:
There are no Travelocity change or cancel fees, however vendor penalties may apply.
I'm guessing that means that they won't charge but if there is a cancel charge through disney they will pass that onto you.

Hope this helps!

Travelocity cancellation policy is as follows....

Cancellations prior to 5 days of check-in will result in a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Cancellations or changes occurring within 5 days of 12:01 am (Central Time) on the day of check-in are subject to a cancellation penalty of a 1 night room charge plus applicable Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees.

Cancellations or changes made after check-in are subject to a 100% charge.

I called yesterday about a Preferred room at CBR with 2 double beds and was told I can't get a Preferred room and only 1 King size bed is available. Was anyone able to get a room at CBR with 2 doubles instead of a king?

According to MouseSavers.com, in 2009 and 2008 the AP discounts were released the last Wed. of the month. According to MouseMisers blog post, it's dated the last THURSDAYS of the month. Guess i'll try again tomorrow :sad2:

June 30 is the last Wednesday of the month, so I sure hope that isn't the case. I'm still hoping for today for the AP rates. We need a little pixie dust.

In 2008, the last Wednesday was the 25th (but the codes were released the 18th) which is why I thought they would come out today :(
Oh well, I won't hold my breath tomorrow either, this whole thing gets more frustrating by the day. Do you know if they ever release discounts later on in the day? I thought they only do it at 7am

I think they have released discounts later in the day on occasion -- particularly if they're having technical difficulties with loading the rates. So, we shouldn't hold our breath, but I think crossing fingers is worth a shot!
