What family members are entitled to the discount? My mom is a Dvc member and wants to get annual passes for my sister and her family who live with her(husband and 2 kids included). How does she go about this?

From what I understand the DVC member and whoever is living at that address with them and can show proof of address is entitled to an AP. DVC member may have to be present and show blue membership card to pick them up at Guest Services.

Your mom should call MS and find the definitive answer.

I got DD one (she lives with us).
A member had to show their ID and membership card (that was me) and DD had to show her ID to verify same address

Disney Vacation Club Members and their immediate family (living in the same household) are eligible to receive discounts on select new and renewed Walt Disney World Annual and Premium Annual Passes.

Immediate family would be children, parents, grandchildren/grandparents & siblings.

When they instituted the option they published a list and included people I would not have listed as immediately family in this context. Here's the list.
Who is defined as "immediate family"?

Immediate family is defined by WDW for discount purposes as:

Spouse/Registered Domestic Partner
Parent/Step Parent
Mother-In-Law/Father-In-Law
Child/Step Child
Brother, Sister/Step Brother, Sister
Brother-In-Law/Sister-In-Law
Grandparent - Grandchild
Now it does also require they live at the address of an owner but any owner, not just the contact person or address of record.

I knew that list existed somewhere too but couldn't easily get my hands on it... Thanks Dean! :thumbsup2

Good to see in writing that registered domestic partners/in-laws/steps are "officially" included.

Smart on Disney's part to include those but then take them away due to the fact that the chances of many of those living at a qualifying address is fairly small.
