Annual Pass discount - consistent dates or random dates?

We've been AP holders for less than a year, and I'm trying to figure out if the AP discounts that are above the standard 10%, are just random dates throughout the year or has Disney in the past offered those discounts consistently throughout the year?

For example, we were in Disney in Oct 2020, Dec 2020 and Feb. 2021 - and in Oct and February they offered the 20% discount...do they do that every Oct and February or did we just hit it at the right time?

If you google "Historical Disney World Discounts" the first website that pops up shows all of the release dates and travel dates for discounts over the past several years.

Obviously with Covid no one knows what may happen with discounts, but it should still give you a good idea of what's happened in the past!

oh, I guess I should have clarified my question a little more ...

I didn't mean like room discounts, I meant the 20% merchandise discounts that you can get in the parks....are those tracked anywhere?

Merch is always 20%. Sometimes they have promotional periods that up it to 30%.

Most table service dining is 10%.

Extremely random. The most recent ones seemed to be tied to the pandemic, as a good will gesture.

OK - that's what I was thinking!

The higher discount this past Feb. ran from Feb 2-March 2 and I'm hoping to get DH interested in a trip in Jan 2022, but then had a thought/wonder if they would be offering the 30% discount again starting in Feb and if so should we push our trip....

BUT, we aren't really big "stuff buyers" and the usual 20% discount is just fine!
