Annual Pass Card?

In August, DD and I upgraded our tickets to AP's. I recall I got a little booklet about discounts, and we just got our new magicbands today with the little AP sliders.

I don't recall for the life of me if they gave me a card to identify us as AP holders. She thinks I did; I can't find it. I guess I thought it would come in with the bands, but I dug through the box (tore it apart almost) and it isn't there.

Should I call to see if they can send me a new one, or wait and ask on our next trip? Honestly, I don't think we'll use any discounts or maybe one or two - mostly it seemed to be at TS places for lunch, and we don't do a lot of TS meals!

Has anyone been as spacey as me on this?

What kind of card are you looking for? The discount card has been stopped. But you should have received the AP card when you upgraded.

I think I got a card when I upgraded, but can't find it. I guess they can maybe scan my magicband to make sure I have the AP. Just having a senior moment!

I got a gold colored card with my AP I have never used it I just show my AP card ( and I am pretty sure you can get a new one if you have lost yours) I only use my discount to bye things most TS do not offer discounts

I use my actual AP for discounts and you can't use just your magic band unfortunately. OP if you don't have your actual AP I think it wise to stop by guest relations and show your ID to get a new AP (actual card). You never know when you can use that discount and you also never know if you will have a MB issue!

I upgraded on my trip in November and did not receive a card. I keep forgetting to call!

I activated my AP voucher last Saturday at the International Gateway Guest Services. At the end, I had to ask for the discount card and it was given to me. How else would you get an AP discount? I didn't need it because I used my DVC card for merchandise discounts.

We just upgraded to APs again in November and got the gold card with our magic bands, so they are still going out. The #1 thing that I use the card for is free entrance to the parking lots at WDW. You could not do that with your magic band.

We got an annual pass card when we upgraded thanksgiving week at MK. We didn't get a separate discount card. To get a discount you show the AP card and ID

We use our AP card every time we buy something at the gift shop. It's definitely worthwhile having.

I have the gold "discount card" and my actual AP. Since I carry the AP with me as a backup to my MB I just use that along with my ID to get the AP discounts. I don't want to / or see the need to carry the gold discount card in addition to the AP so I don't bother.

They no longer give you 2 cards so the "gold discount card" is a thing of the past..

ticket window or guest relations can give you an AP hard ticket replacement, don't forget your id as they need to verify it's you.

I asked this same question last week Just go to any Guest Services and ask for the actual AP ticket/card. That's the only card they hand out now. It was quick and painless, and I used it quite often since Starbucks accepts it for the discount! Just remember to bring ID - both to get it and to use it. They verified ID every time I used it.

I didn't know Starbucks gave a discount with your AP card. That's great to know!

Excepted for what? In sept it was only good for merch and some food items but not drinks.

Yep. My sister wanted all 4 of the 'you are here' cups, so I made good use of it!

It's interesting that everyone is saying they check ID when you use your AP. I was just there yesterday and used it a couple times and they never checked. I always have my ID on my so it's no issue if they need it, but I never get checked when I use it.

I've experienced both ways but also always have my id anyway so not really a big deal if they do or don't want it.
