Annual pass and room discount question?

I'm looking into buying an annual pass and I have some questions. Does the power pass qualify for the room discount? Where is the best place to purchase an annual pass? Can I purchase at the concierge at RPR? Thanks to all who respond!!

No, you have to have the preferred pass for the room discounts. Annual passes aren't discounted. You can purchase them online for pickup at the parks or at the kiosks in the Universal hotels. I don't know if the concierge sells them.

And remember to make sure that the annual pass discount is available before you purchase your annual pass. It could be sold out or not offered during the time you are going.

Only one pass is needed for the room discount though. I have the middle level pass, and my family has the lowest level. But they would not have to have a pass at all. We just go a lot.

if your numbers do not work with buying the AP, the AAA/CAA cards allow 10% discounts off food and merch in the park.
same way as the preferred ap works.

AAA does give room discounts, not as great as the AP, but does include more dates for room discounts.

just another option to consider when you are number crunching.
