Finally bit the bullet and purchased our APs today -woohoo! :cool1:

So since we are FL residents, I know I have to go to the ticket booth to get the actual passes. If I am the credit card holder, can I pick up my husband's pass too (without him there)? Do APs have your photo on them?

Also, we are staying at RPR and plan to check in early to get our EPs before we head to the park. So do I just check in and then visit the concierge to get the EPs? I think I remember something about getting your picture taken for them - I guess this can be done at the resort?

Thanks!!

After you check in at the resort, you will go to a kiosk in the lobby and swipe your hotel card to get your EP. It snaps a photo then prints the pass.

APs no longer have photos on them...they look like regular tickets. Mine is from 2005 so I have one of the old ones. Picking up other passes shouldn't be an issue.

I`m sure my friends husband picked up both their AP`s in December, he took the credit card and a receipt and it was fine.

After you check in and are given your room keys, you take them over to the far side of reception to a machine. You put your room key in and get your picture taken.

The EP is the same size roughly as your room key, comes out with your picture on and length of stay printed too.

Easy peasy :thumbsup2

I bought some lanyard badge holders with a zip lock closure at the top and put the AP on one side and the express pass on the other, with barcodes facing out. That way I was able to have them scan my pass to enter the parks and scan the EP at each ride without fumbling for the passes or worrying about getting them wet. We saw QUITE a few people at the parks bemoaning the fact that their tickets/passes had been ruined on the water rides.

As an aside, for anyone ordering these - in the hot August sun, we used these badge holders for 7 straight days at various parks. I used mine an 8th time and put my car key in it when we went to a water park near our home after our Orlando trip - the key fell right through the bottom. I think the heat just did them in. They're RIDICULOUSLY cheap, though, so when I ordered new ones for our May trip, I bought a pack of 10 for $3 or so just to be on the safe side. Get extras!
