Annual pass activation with flex pay

I am thinking of buying a two park proffered pass with flex pay to avoid a price increase or in case they get rid of the 2 park option. I don't want it to activate immediately and won't be taking a trip until October or December. How does this work with flex pay? Does it activate immediately? Will they just charge me the down payment and then monthly payments once I activate? I can't find a FAQ regarding flex pay anywhere.

When you make the purchase, they charge you the down payment and then you start the monthly payments, until it is paid off. You can start using the pass at any time, after purchase, and the the pass will not be activated until your first date of actual use.
If you buy your pass today and go for the first time, in October, you will be about halfway through your payments by the time you activate your pass.
