Annual pass activation time

We are going to be purchasing APs for our trip at the end of June. My question is...Do we need to wait until our first day there to purchase our AP, or can we pre-purchase the pass and have the time start when we arrive? We want to use it again in early June of 2017 - so it's important our time start at the end of June 2016. I hope that makes sense.

Your pass will expire one year from the day you activate it at a theme park ticket window or Guest Relations. When you buy it is irrelevant.

Taking that one step further...

If you were to ACTIVATE it, in-person, on, say, July 9, 2016, it would be good on July 9, 2016, and every day thereafter up to, and INCLUDING, July 9, 2017.

(Yes, you get that "extra day" at the end of a year's use.)
