This is my first year to pay the annual dues-so I'm an idiot. I just happened to be messing around on the DVC site and pulled up the annual dues site and found out they are due by Jan 15!! (I have a Feb. use year) Aren't we supposed to get a statement and/or bill sent to us? Own outright, so we make no payments otherwise. I'm confused!
Thanks all.

Yes - you should be getting a statement in the mail. We haven't received ours yet, either. They usually mail them during the last week of December so we'll being seeing them soon, I'm sure.

I probably won't call Member Accounting to pay our bill until the end of January. They don't consider you late until after February something. We pay in one lump sum (credit card rewards drive the world, LOL) and I don't want it on my cc bill until after the January billing cycle is over.

The only time not paying by January 15 exactly might get you into trouble is if you have a stay scheduled before you pay. You need to be current on dues when you check in.

Best wishes-

You should be seeing the statement soon. They usually get mailed this time of year.

I suppose the statement will arrive next week while we're at BWV and SSR, since there's no mail delivery until Tuesday and it didn't come in today's mail. This is the first year it has not arrived a day or two after Christmas. I used to pay more careful attention because I was making a single lump sum payment of the annual dues and we usually arrive for a 6 night stay the first week of January (January 2nd again next week). As noted, you need to be current when you begin your visit. Now we're doing autodebit from a checking account, so I don't have to worry about making the payment before we arrive.

My monthly payments are usually debited on the 1st of the month, but I seem to remember that the January payment is taken on the 15th instead.

Since I'm kinda new to all of this, I was a little worried too that I did not receive it in the mail today. Now I have to wait until Tuesday. I'm not in any rush to hand over $786 :rotfl: but I was still a little concerned.

Kinda OT, but not really-do any of you use your Disney Visa to pay your dues? I was thinking of doing this, so I'll have the reward dollars, then pay it off before my next trip there in March. Ihate to have a big balance when I know I am headed to the World.

We use our Disney Visa to pay our dues, and it helps us for our purchase of APs! We don't use our DV as our main cc, we prefer cards that give miles, but we did save nearly $100, the rewards and bills do add up!

I also pay yearly and put the whole amount on my visa - I pay the bill right away - sometimes even before the bill arrives I go to the branch and make the payment on my card . I will be using my rewards card ($450) to pay a small portion of my dues for the first time.

I own at OKW and still haven't gotten my dues statement by snail mail. However, the good news is the DVC Member site has finally incorporated resales, so I can see what I owe. Since we want to split between our rewards card and a credit card, we can call tomorrow and make payment.

We live in Scotland and don't have our statemant yet although we expect it any day. We will have a bill of $2400 and we never pay till 15th Feb. Dues are not considered overdue till that day so I phone in. {With 7 kids and Christmas just past I leave it till the very last minute }

We own at OKW and VWL and haven't received our statments yet either. I'm glad to hear we aren't the only ones -- I was secretly blaming "someone" in the family for mistakenly throwing them out, thinking they were junk mail. I'll give the snail mail until Friday, and if they don't come by then, just pay it online. We have a trip to OKW scheduled at the end of this month -- don't want any embarrassment at check-in time!

I signed up for auto/debit of monthly dues from our checking account when we joined the DVC last summer.

Will I get an invoice or statement as to the new debit amount or do I have to check with my bank?

Thanks

I did too and I still got a statement that said how much each month.:flower:

I got my statement yesterday also. I just bought at SSR in October. Have the auto pay also so yes you will get one. To pay off using Disney rewards do you just have to call services?? I use mt Disney card to pay all the little things I know I have the money for. It has paid for my Disney park tickets every year for the past couple. So then I just have to worry about my girls. The balance I use at the World of Disney or restaurant.
