maybe i am just crabby but that dvd would almost make me NOT want to go. did anyone else find the concept and actors a mite fake/forced? usually i love the vacation stuff but this one... blech! :cold:

Sounds like you're just crabby! :p
I am just kidding. I like the planning dvd-I think they are fun and all their excitement, even if forced since they are acting, gets me in the Disney spirit! :goodvibes

:rotfl2: I thought it was ultra cheesy! While I still enjoyed it (can't get enough of Disney), it didn't hold the attention of my 4 yr old. I was so excited and thought it would get him pumped up for his first trip, but alas he walked out of the room. Oh well.....

This years tape is the only one I have ever seen. I really liked and thought it was entertaining. I am into cheesy type things so that might be why I liked it!!! :rotfl:

We love it! And what's funny is my DS3 (4 in Sept) is the one that always asks to watch it. He'll tell people that he loves the Rock N' Roller Coaster b/c it's completely in the dark. Of course, he's never been on it, he only knows this fact b/c "Luke" told him so! ;)

My kids also really like the "funny guy that eats a lot" (Dave). :rotfl2:

While we did find the acting a little cheesey we love the dvd! I think it is just b/c we have never been and it just gets us so exctied for the trip. We ahve watched it about 10 times.lol

I couldn't stop rolling my eyes and groaning through it...and I love WDW! That DVD was ultra-cheesey though. We watched half of it one time and haven't bothered to watch it again.

Yup, cheesey to the extreme...almost as bad as Birnbaum!

We thought the DVD was silly. My DD and I started to watch it, laughed through part of it, but soon gave up and have not watched it since.

I agree. I HATE this planning video. We always watch the old ones. They are outdated, RnR isn't even on them yet, but they are MUCh better.

We watched it once & tossed it - think it's terrible. Not into that fake, cheesy "I'm so happy" stuff. I'm very much a rah-rah type person, but even this is toomuch for me. . . .

Strange as it sounds...it gave me motion sickness! I had an earache the first time I watched, and it kept making me dizzy :)

I know! I agree totally. I always love to pop them in once in awhile but haven't watched this one twice!

What is it about this? I think maybe their trying to seem hip and just come off as really lame!!!!!!

It definitely gave me motion sickness....couldn't even finish it because it was making me so sick! With that being said, I have never seen the whole DVD...enjoy the past ones better!

i think it was the camera angles or something...it felt like i was way way way to close to their faces ( "close talkers" ie seinfield) and I felt like all i saw was them and not just a dvd of a lot of the park stuff which is what i really want to see ,then all the "extras'" were basically rehashs of what was already on..guess they need to fill up the dvd. Oh well I'm so disappointed, can i really endure over a yr wait...I was hoping to live vicariously via the dvd, instead i get to count the actors nose hairs:)

I watched this just the other day when I had nothing on TV to watch and I couldn't even get past 15 minutes of it.

The cheesiness and fake acting just really got to me. Not to mention that it really didn't make want to go to WDW. It didn't show me the magic of WDW, it just showed me how to be annoying at WDW. I really didn't need to see all those teeth!

To this day, I can't finish that DVD and I've tried watching it 3 times now. I'll just revert back to the old planning videos/DVDs until they come up with a better DVD next year.

DH and I thought it was pretty cheesy. Although it did make us laugh aloud at some points. We thought the 2004 was a little more functional for actually planning while the latest one was a bit more entertaining.

I just didn't get that "Disney feeling" from it. I watch the old ones all the time. My favorite is one that is probably from 1993 with the "Be our Guest" music, at the beginning. So outdated now but I still have to watch it! :flower:

My 4 year old asks to watch it all the time. It has really got him excited for his first trip to WDW. I admit that it is cheesy - but I enjoy watching it.
