Announcment at Disney

I was in MK today, and there was a parkwide announcement for a women to call the park line. Anyone else seen this happen??

That happened when we were there in March. I thought it was very odd, too.

I heard someone paged over the intercom once also. I have heard that Disney only does this in very serious situations, such as deaths in the family. My prayers are with this woman and her family.

From what I've read here it is almost always BAD NEWS. If I got paged I would freak out!

Being paged at the MK would definitely terrify me and put me in a panic

I was at Epcot one night walking around with a few friends (one being an Advance Intern CP) and they paged someone over the PA, and we just looked at each other cuz none of us had heard it before and knew it was only done for serious reasons....

I've heard someone be paged at MK, too. Even the CMs looked surprised. They said that hardly ever happens.

I don't remember where I read it, but I did read a story one time about a woman who took her kids to WDW while waiting for a transplant. The organ that she needed became available while she was in the MK one day, and they put out an all points bulletin for her (guess they didn't have the PA system then) and found her almost right away so she could get to the airport. She did make it in time and the transplant was successful, though I don't remember what she had transplanted.
