Hey, man i have 2 think of a science fair idea, anyone have any ideas from projects they've done in the past or ones they wanna do? my teacher is so dumb! she told us yesterday, oh ur project idea is due on tuesday and our research paper is due in 2 weeks. and im not even in ap! well any and all help would be appreiciated!

One time i did a project by making handprints in cornmeal, water, flour. But you have too use different amounts for each new print you make.
Exp 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup cornmeal 1/4 cup flour.... etc

I got an A on my project and I just did it last year which was when I was in 8th grade. And my teacher was not nice so me gettin an a on it was good.

:crazy brantlee :crazy:

Hey everyone!
I think this board is a great idea. I am trying to work on a project for chemistry and I have to link the chemical properties of the chemical I am doing with its physical structure. Could anyone help me out with why acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin- a carboxylic acid) is only slightly soluble in alcohol, but IS soluble in alcohol, chloroform and ether? Thank you for any help that you could give me on this project, or if you could point me in the right direction for finding this information.

can you proof this? it is a Speech of introduction!

Also please help with the ending!!!! THANKS

Most of us know what it is like to move around to new schools and how hard it is to make new friends. Well the same thing happens to everyone!
To this person it happened very often since his father worked as an executive for the Ford Motor Company. They had to move frequently and he was an only child. It also didn’t help that he was a bit on the chubby side. To make new friends this little boy had developed a sense of humor to help defend himself from everyone poking fun at him.
Finally his family had settled down during his senior year of high school and the once cubby little boy was fit and popular. He was also voted funniest and most likely to succeed!
After High school he moved on to college. There he stated getting involved in Improvisation and changed colleges to go to Marin College in California then he went to Juilliard in New York to train as a serious actor.
He moved back to California to go for his dream. After a few failures he was cased in Mork and Mindy, which ran from 1978 to 1982. This was his big brake. He was seen as a great comedian.
Some of his other great movies are Good Morning, Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Mrs. Doubfire, Good Will Hunting, Bicentennial Man and many more.
I think that this person should come talk to us to tell us what it was like making all these great movies. What it was like growing up having always to change schools. He will be talking about how hard it was to make his way to the top and how he has stayed there for so long!
Lets give a warm welcome to Robin Williams!

I have to warn you English isn't my strongest subject, but I read your speach and it sounds really good. It has an exelent opening sentance to grab the audiance's attention. the only errors I found was the second time you wrote Chubby it says cubby, but I think that's only because your finger missed the H. *lol* I like how through-out the speach you keep Robin Willams' name a mistery untill the end, it draws out the suspence of who it is. The Ending sounds good. I think you should keep it like it is. I don't know how many revisions you've done but this sounds wonderful.

i have to rite a 4 minute speech on why a skateboard park should be built in our town. if any of u have any ideas on why one should be built in any town, i would appreciate them.:D

Anyone have any ideas for a begining sentence for a persuasive essay..the topic is Should school uniforms exist in catholic schools...i am against having uniforms...or can you help me with the Title...my sounds bad and long..thanks

That's a good topic for an essay. I thought I was against uniforms until I went to a catholic school that has uniforms. Trust me it makes life so easy (but i must admit i'll be happy to go to university next year and wear whatever I want)

Anyways, why are you against uniforms? That could help you with a title.... A title could be something like

Whatever happened to Individuality?

Freedom of Choice: Denied

etc...

i have this big speech in front of 100 people tomrow. Anybody got any ideas on how to stay calm so i dont "choke" in the middle of my speech?

Need to change from passive to active voice Here the sentence:

As a result of the high sound levels recorded in the machine shop by Murray Walsh, it was decided by management that the shop would be operated on a reduced scale until sound-reduction measures were implemented by the safety committee.

Oh what high school papers lose as a result of no passive voice!! Clarity!! I hope this helped anyway....

I have to balance these chemical equations.

C2H6 + O2 ------> CO2 + H2O

H2S + O2 ------> H2O +SO2

Ba(NO3)2 + Na 2SO4 --->BaSO4 + NaNO3

the key to balancing is look at one element and balance the other side of the molecule based on that element. you then balance the other elements that was in that molecule. Don't worry about erasing a number and increasing it: that will happen all the time.

my chem teacher said that leaving the oxygens, if you can, until the last thing you balance helps. :)

i passed! Thanks very much:D
