Announcing a store for the DIS!!

I would love to see a lime green DIS hat...... baseball style..... and well made, nice fabric....... nothing cheesy. Well as cheesy free as a lime green baseball hat could be..... lol

For those of us who have indulged heavily on the Mickey Bars, Dole Whips, Beaver Tails and Turkey Legs......anyway of sending those items too? What a great idea!!! I think if it said the DIS and it fit....I'd wear it!!!!

My ideas have been taken but I'll reiterate the Canadian request of low shipping. I have had orders (disneystore.com, books etc.), and when the shipping is added, have cancelled them. Luckily, the books I've managed other places. When we add the duties, GST and brokerage fees, sometimes an order would be more than double the cost of items + shipping.

Being on the WISH board, I'd love pins/buttons with my clippie! Also, the challenge clippies. And, I'm certain that Pete would be sensitive to sizes, too.

An antenna ball! YEAAAAH! (My teens will be disgusted with me even more )

I still wear my old DIS t-shirt to Florida. One comment, would be to use a light weight cotton. I love my shirt, but it can be really hot in August!

I'd like a choice of colours. Lime green isn't always my choice, but I'd sure want a lime green ribbon to wear.

Lots more in the list to buy for myself and as gifts for those that would appreciate them!

What a great idea!! I think the tee shirts would be great! This way when someone was at WDW and saw one we would know that this is a DISer. I think it would be nice if somehow if one wanted to their name could be put on it. Say I would have Boots on mine somewhere so when someone came up to me they would know that I was Boots. As for the guide books, I currently have the couple one of the Perlmutters, Rita Aero's, and the unofficial one. Like I said this is great idea!!1

Here's an idea for a t-shirt: It would be grey or white with lime green words and pictures on it like a rebus puzzle.

It could say something like:

If you like to eat (picture of canned corn here) on Main Street, if you have ever bought (picture of a mole here) skin for your feet, if you ever met friends at a (insert DIS logo here) DIS meet, if you ever wore a (insert a picture of a lime green ribbon here) on your chest, then you know you are a member of the coolest Disney website above all the rest!


Also, a DIS logo shirt with a lime green ribbon printed on would be nice, so I don't have to pin one on every morning. ha

Another vote for Pooh sized shirts here and also, please include the UNOFFICIAL GUIDE to WDW by Bob Sehlinger in the store. I buy one from Barnes and Noble online every year, so I might as well be helping out the DIS by buying one on here.

WOW!! Thanks for all the input! I’ll try to answer all the comments I can!

Shipping to Canada: This one’s a tough one. We will certainly attempt to keep the cost as low as possible. We are considering free standard shipping with an order OVER a certain amount, probably $30.00. I hope to be able to work it out so that anything other than STANDARD shipping (i.e. our good friends in Canada and the UK and/or expedited shipping) will just be charged the DIFFERENCE. Hopefully that will help!

Personalization: This is something that will be looked at as the store evolves. We LIKE the idea, and will re-visit it once we get the basics up and going. This applies to different themed shirts for the various boards and the WISHers (HI fellow WISHers!!) as well. We had considered pins and shirts for DIS meets too.

Shipping to resorts: YES! We were planning on that!

Lime Green ribbons: Maybe in conjunction with the buttons… It’s a hard one to figure out. If I just cut you a piece of ribbon, it’s going to fray! I’m still thinking on this.

When? Hopefully by mid-August for a soft opening, but I’m not sure about the DIS shirts yet. I’ll keep you posted!

Hidden Mickey books: yes

Guide books: Yes, Passporter and Birnbaum definitely, maybe on the Unofficial.

Pooh sizes: For sure!

Cooler weather gear: In the future, windbreakers, hoodies.

Most of your other terrific ideas are in the pot and being stirred. Like luggage tags, lanyards, baseball hats, fanny packs, countdown clocks, DIS rain ponchos, window clings, bumper stickers and more!

The corn thing unfortunately pre-dates me, but Pete and Bob have mentioned something about corn-themed items!!

And lastly, thanks for all your kind wishes!! I will do my best to provide a fun store for us and WOW you with outstanding customer service!!

I would love a DIS t-shirt and coffee mug! And I really like the button idea. I just hope the t-shirts can be offered in smaller sizes so I can get one to fit me (I'm little).

All of these product ideas has my design brain going crazy. Give me some one-liners you would like to see along side the DIS logo. Your line might end up on a shirt. I will be re-designing the DIS logo for print. I gather that Lime Green is a must?
