For anyone interested in reading our trip report..here goes.
This was our 3rd trip, our first one without any children, celebrating our 30th anniversary. DH, who just turned 50, and myself, younger than the hubby!
Friday, 9/7, we left the house around 5:30a.m., excited and was surprised that we slept that long. OUr intentions were to leave earlier, but it didn't happen.
For our first night, we had ressies at Seralago Hotel, about 3 miles from DW, made by our AAA agent...For $45.00 a night, I guess this wasn't a bad hotel, but I probably would not stay here again..The room was clean, but the bed was terrible. I thought the springs were going to come thru the mattress.
We drove over to DW, and used our vouchers for Planet Hollywood for dinner..Wrong rest. to go to after driving all day, and having a headache, but hubby, (the penny pencher) wanted to use the $15.00 voucher. So...I tolerated the LOUD music and noise, and ordered the Cobb salad, which was good,(not as good at Chilis though), and hubby ordered the chicken sandwich, which he said was good..We gobbled our dinner down, and left as soon as possible, headed back to the room. We were exhausted, and fell asleep by 9:30...
Tomorrow, CSR!!!!!!!!
Saturday,9/8. We are up by 7:00 and showered and ready for the day..Looked outside, and it is an absolutely beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky
..That would all change by the afternoon
We got to CSR around 10:00, and didn't have to stand in line to check in. There was no lines waiting..The CM was very nice and attentive. She noticed right off that we were celebrating our ann. and gave us our pins to wear. Our room was ready and we checked into room 2370, in Casitas 2, only a few doors up from where we were last year.. Our room was very nice, and clean, and smelled good. And the beds felt heavenly.
We didn't have any towel animals the entire week, but that was ok. We loved the room, even though if faced the court yard. We didn't do much looking out of the window.
We didn't even unpack, we left right away, and went to MK, and rode the train to Frontier Land. We decided we didn't want to eat a hamburger for lunch, so we left there and went over to Cosmic Ray Starlight Cafe for lunch. I ordered the turkey bacon wrap with chips, and carrott cake. (all very good)
and hubby ordered the ribs and chicken with carrotts and mashed pot. (he's a big eater). He thought both were good.
After lunch, we rode Buzz Light Year, we walked right on, no lines, then we did Mickeys PhilHarMagic, (my favorite) and walked right in..again no lines..
Next was Pirates of the Carribean (no lines either), and we did have to get fast passes for Big Thunder Mtn, so we went to Splash Mtn. (got a little wet)
By that time it was time to use our fast passes for Big thunder mtn. When we finally got to the que to board we noticed the people getting off of the ride, were soaked...Yes, it was pouring rain outside
, but they let us board, and the ride went on. By the time we finished the ride, we were soaked from the top of our head to the bottom of our shoes
We heard later that the ride had stalled on the next round and they had to walk people off of the ride.
It came a down pour, with lightening and thunder all around, and we were already wet, so we just squished our way back to the buses, and came back to the room to shower and get ready for dinner at Cape May Buffet at 6:30.
We arrived at Cape May 10 min. late, but they seated us immediately. This was our first time eating here, and we filled up quickly on the peel and eat shrimp, and salmon(very good). We probably would not eat here again, not that we didn't enjoy it, but shrimp and salmon was the only thing that we found we liked...and there are so many other rest. that we enjoy more, but we wanted to try it once.
We left and went to Epcot and stood in line for 30 min. to ride Soarin. I love this ride, and didn't mind standing in line for this one. Watched Illuminations and called it a night...
Next up- Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest for the first time, DeVine, and Kona Cafe

We had dinner there on 9/8 - I was so ready to be done. I agree too about Cape May. The food was OK - the cheesecake was delicious but that was about it. Were you as tired of me of the heat and daily rain
Hubby liked it so well, he rode it again, without any waiting, can you believe it?
, but then I was still recovering from EE
