Anniversary trip 2018. Help with dates?

My 15th anniversary is April 25th. We went to DL on our honeymoon and our 10th. We figured we may as well make it a thing every 5 years (sad we missed 5!)

We just got back from our trip this year which just happened to fall over our anniversary but we were with the whole family. It was pretty quiet aside from one day out of five...way low crowds.

If it were you, would you go over your actual anniversary (and make it a thing..) Or would you just go sometime in 2018. We aren't ones to make a big deal out of anniversaries other than this. Sometimes we'll just go on a staycation for a couple nights.

We both have always wanted to visit during halloween (but don't want super busy)...and I personally LOVED going with Xmas decor and would love to do that again too.

Totally a personal opinion post, I guess. If it were YOU and your significant other, when would YOU go and why? We would likely be doing 5 days.

If I was going with just my hubby for our anniversary I don't think I would need it to be on that date. I've always wanted to go at Christmas, so I think I would do that. Crowds wouldn't be as big of a deal if it was just the two of us going for a couples trip. As long as we knew we were doing it to celebrate our anniversary, the actual dates wouldn't matter.

That being said, I love the weather in April! And sometimes having a "thing" is really fun. The good news? It'll be great either way you do it!!!!

We're not big on specific dates either, so I would choose the time of year that appealed most. Halloween Time is really fun, and not all dates are super crowded. As you said, Holiday Time is super special at DLR. If there is something at DLR that you've always wanted to do or see, then I would choose my dates around that.

We just had our 25th Anniversary last month and are going during Thanksgiving for Anniversary/ Family trip. We've never been during the holidays and always wanted to! So I say go whenever you can and enjoy!!
