Anniversary Surprise?????

My grandparents are ( celebrating ) their ( 50th anniversary ) during the 8/17 cruise. Is there anything not too expensive that might be fun for them, on or off the boat, as a nice surprise??

One thing that is free-mention to your waiter that they're celebrating their anniversary and they will present them with a cake at dinner. Boy, 70 years, best wishes to them.

I'm not sure if DCL would do this, but then again how many people celebrate 70 years together. Maybe the night of their anniversary you could arrange for special recognition for them at the evening show in the Walt Disney Theater. Or, you could arrange for them to have dinner at Palo's (that would only be $10.00 additional). Then your parents could have a special bottle of wine presented to their table.

Does anyone out there know someone in PR or management at DCL or Disney. Out of all the places on this earth this couple could spend their 70th wedding anniversary-they chose DCL. Disney should be eating this up with a spoon and do some type of piece on this. And some freebies for the anniversary couple wouldn't hurt either!

Tay N Evie's Mom - Trinity ( my DD Kelly ) got a little confused. Her grandparents anneversary was this month. To celebrate the occasion they are taking all of the grandchildren on a Disney Cruise in August. A sort of family reunion. ( The grandparents are in their 70s )

Hi Trinity,....I surprised my wife for our anniversary by hiring a stretch limo to take us to the boat. We used Tiffany Towne car service and had a wonderful trip.
You can also contact the Perfect Gift shop and have a beautiful
basket waiting for them in their stateroom.

Has anyone ordered the "Bon Voyage" gift from Magical Treasures

If anyone has Is the Champagne a full size bottle and approximately how many chocolate covered strawberries did you
get?
I'm real impressed with that one as it's only $49.00. Thats what makes me wonder if the champagne is a mini bottle and if you only get 2 strawberries. Also do the glasses come with it?

Hi, my parents, aunt and grandmother went on a cruise during the week w/my aunts birthday and they got up during the night and decorated her door letting everyone on the cruise know it was her birthday!

Heard they did a great job too! You could always bring on board w/you (which is what they did) the supplies you would need to decorate thier door! Maybe one of those 50th Anniversary signs that you see in the stores! Tape, streamers, Maybe even some pictures of them when they got married. Bring the pictures to one of those Kodak machines that will duplicate and enlarge pictures and bring the duplicate on board and tape that to the door so that everyone will know who your grandparents are! I am sure that your parents will help you with the decorating!

Also have seen in Disney and you could check w/the cruise line if they could help you out w/this one.... they sell minnie ears in white w/a viel and Mickie ears in black w/a top hat on! you could have them wear them to dinner or give at dinner them to wear or even for the entire day, so that everyone knows who is celebrating thier anniversary! I do not believe those ears cost much maybe $12 each! Just some fun ways to celebrate and definately get the free cake!
