My wife and I will be going to the world on May 2-9 for our 10th anniversary. Our anniversary is actually May 22, but we're going earlier when our 2 oldest daughters will be in school a half day and prevent Grandma from going a little less cuckoo while watching a 6, 4, and 2 year old for an entire week.

I'm making dinner reservations at Boma, Chef Mickeys, Narcossee's, Citricos, Yachtsmen, Coral Reef, and Le Cellier. I will obviously note 10th anniversary for all of our dinner reservations and get the sign/menu option done at Coral Reef. Do any of the other restaurants offer any special offerings for anniversaries?

One last thing is that I'm going to get her an anniversary band-should I give that to her at the world or wait until our actual anniversary when we go out for dinner for that?

My wife and I visited WDW last year for our first anniversary. We too could not go on our exact anniversary date, but did use the entire time to celebrate! In response to your question regarding the restaraunts that you have chosen, the only two that I can offer anything on are Boma and Chef Mickey's. My wife and I went to these two while celebrating our anniversary. Boma actually surprised us with a nice "gift" (don't want to tell you what it is, for fear of ruining a surprise...) and a card. As for Chef Mickey, I do not recall anything special, aside from a special desert at the end of the meal.

They may have special desserts or that type of thing available. Definitely call ahead and ask if you're looking for something in particular.

You can also try the Disney Florist - http://www.disneyflorist.com/

Don't forget to let your resort know it's your anniversary too and get your anniversary buttons and wear them everywhere. :goodvibes

Well if it were me getting such a gift, I can't think of a better place then on vacation with DH at Disney. Maybe you can plan a special moment to do it during dinner, or in some special part of one of the parks that holds special meaning for you both. There are lots of lovely spots in all the parks that would make for a magical memory. And if you speak with a CM ahead of time, I'm sure they'd be helpful in planning it.

Congratulations on your anniversary, and have a wonderful, romantic, fun trip!!

Congratulations!
You can also check out Gifts of a Lifetime. Jane and her gang (pixies) arranged a scavenger hunt for us around the World Showcase for our anniversary. My DH and DS's had so much fun.
The hunt ended with DH and I sharing a romantic moment reciting vows with our boys.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

I just did this, so I'll see what they say. Thanks for the suggestion.

We will be staying onsite from May 2nd to the 9th also, and will be celebrating our 15th anniversary. :goodvibes We are eating at Narcossees, Yachtman, California Grill, Jikos, Coral Reef, etc. Our daughter will be with us, also so we are doing character meals, BBB, PPP and MDGPPTP.

We are planning on ordering a special cake at Narcossees from the GF bakery and I think DH is ordering the tiara and glass slippers on a pillow, then on another dinner a rose with a ss bracelet, than at another, a bottle of champagne and mm flutes, we are having roses and chocolate dipped strawberries sent to the room, etc. We never had a honeymoon and we where married at the courthouse, so we wanted to splurge.

When our daughter is potty trained, we plan on renewing our vows on a Disney cruise. (She had reconstructive bowel surgery this summer, so she is in the learning process and it is my understanding that they will not let her participate in the kid club unless she is potty trained. They do have a $4000 vow renewal package at Disney, but heck, that would pay for a cruise!)

I think you might want to give her the band at Disney. You can always celebrate subsequent anniversaries at home on the exact date, but you can not always celebrate at Disney.:thumbsup2

Im not sure if you like this sort of thing but you can do a wishes or illuminations cruise and you can order private dining, I think these always sound so romantic!!

If you want something really special Victoria and Alberts always gets amazing reviews!

V&A's I think is way too expensive for a dinner. We'll have 3 signature meals as it is. I don't know if the cruise will be a good fit for us.

Try eating supper at Kona Cafe at the Poly, then going to the beach there and watching The Electrical Water Parade, and then stay and watch wishes from the beach! You can somewhat be by yourselves, and even might have the opportunity to give her the ring you bought... if you'd like.

BUT... I am a wife myself... (which I would LOVE for my DH to bring me to WDW for MY anniversary).... BUT, I would save the ring for your ACTUAL date. She would be more surprised, thinking that all the stuff at WDW was all she got... so save the ring to surprise her!

Congratulations! Our anniversay is May 22nd also - but a few more years than you! We had our first official "married" breakfast at Crystal Palace - before it was a character meal. When we celebrated our 25th anniversay we had breakfast reservations for May 22nd and on our table was a heart made of Mickey head pixie dust and streamers all over the table. At the end of the meal they brought us a hugh cupcake with a candle and Winnie the Pooh and the gang all came over for pictures. Needless to say, I am booking there again for sentimental reasons. We love LeCellier, BOMA and Narcossess. You may even want to try California Grill and watch the fireworks from there. Whatever you decide to do, it will be a great anniversary celebration. Congratulations! :cheer2:

By the way, dumb question about an anniversary band...they're worn on the same finger as her wedding ring, correct? I've been doing some online shopping and found a platinum ring I really like, but hers is 14k yellow gold, so I'm not sure how they'd look side by side like that.
