Hello, I just realized that we will be in Disney during my sister and brother in laws anniversary. I have scheduled us to eat at Japan in Epcot that night. I was wondering if I could call and request them do something for the anniversary. Does anyone know if they will or do you have any suggestions??? Thanks!

you could always order a special cake for them.

I would also call and have them put a note on the ADR that you are celebrating an anniversary. There is no guarantee that they will do anything though.

Finally, not sure who you would call, but ask about a personalized menu. I'm not sure if the Japan restaurant does them, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Me and DH had a great anniversary dinner at California Grill last year. The table had been decorated with Mickey confetti and we had a great view from our table. They gave us buttons to wear and we had very little wait for anything from our table to the food.

The meal was the best I have had in WDW, I can't wait to go back again in August. DH told them when he made the ADR that it was our anniversary and they made it special for us.

DH and I still had our buttons on the following day as we wore the same top as the day before. Many people wished us a Happy Anniversary and the nice lady at the Poly gave us a free Dole Whip! I thought nothing of wearing them until that point but it was worth it for an extra day of good wishes as weonly got them at 8pm the night before.

I would recommend CG for a lovely dinner without hesitation, it was very special and the food amazing.

Thanks for the suggestion, I wish I would have thought of all of this before we scheduled our ADR's. I did call the dining # today and had them put it on their ADR that it was their anniversary. I am going to keep my fingers crossed they recognize it!

So glad to hear that I made ADR for our last evening in Disney, we will be celebrating our 30th anniv. Oh I can't wait

When we go in September we will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and my parents will be celebrating their 41st! Per my dad's request, we are going to be at Hoop Dee Doo Revue that day. I told them when we made the reservations. I have been there before when folks have had an anniversary. This should be fun. :goodvibes

1) Have your anniversary noted on the ressie or on ADR's..
2) The CM's have a lot of leeway of things to do or not do for you.
3) It simply is a matter of the CM's initiative and how busy they are that day.
4) Expect nothing and be pleased with any CM activities.
5) Some of the things a CM can do are
. . . decorate table with Mickey confetti
. . . best table location
. . . special personalized menu
. . . autographed birthday cards
. . . balloons
. . . free wine or champagne
. . . free appetizers
. . . free cake
. . . free wine or fruit basket sent to room
. . . free flowers sent to room
. . . free room upgrades

My husband and I are going to Disney to celebrate our 15th anniversary!! Our first solo vacation since we had kids 11 years ago. We are so excited and want to make it special. Does anyone have any restaurant ideas. We have always done a bunch of character dining with the kids, but want to do something a little more "grown-up". Also, we are going to celebrate our anniversary, but due to travel times, will not be on property on our actual anniversary date. Is it still ok to tell Disney that we are celebrating our anniversary?

We celebrated our "31st" Wedding Anniversary last week at WDW.
We ate at the following Table Service and had the following results:
Coral Reef, good meal, free lava cake
Teppan Edo, no special acknowledgement for our anniv. nice meal
Tony's Town Square, confetti table, nice meal
Ohana Character Breakfast, card and cupcake, good meal
California Grill, confetti table, great location, free chocolate cake which we took back to our hotel since we were stuffed from using our 4 dining credits for this special "anniversary" celebration.
Our best meal was at the California Grill ont he 28th, which was our actual anniversary date.

Yes, you can tell them you are celebrating it even if it's not the exact day. My dad's birthday is six days after he flies home but we are celebrating it at LeCellier a few nights before he leaves.

Corral Reef is AWESOME! Ask about a diver bringing over a "Happy Anniversary" sign.

Olivia's is nice too...I described it to my mom as 'having a nice dinner at a friend's house.' It was nice, quiet, and just relaxing.

I mentioned to the CM that it was an anniversary trip. When I called a few weeks later to make a few changes, the CM said that all our ADR's noted that we were celebrating our anniversary. I thought it was pretty cool, since the original CM told me she was noting it in our last night's ressie at Narcoosee's since they do a personalized menu. I didn't know she would go back and note it on all five days of our ressies. Guess I lucked out and got a good CM on the phone. :thumbsup2

I hope we have the same luck on vacation. We would love to be seated on the patio in Italy for illuminations on our Epcot night. Our ressies are for 8:00! :woohoo: :woohoo:
