Hi,
Our friends who are Disney first timers are coming w/us in Sept. They will also be celebrating their anniversary while we're there. We will be eating at Sci Fi, CRT, Teppan Edo,
Prime Time, Ohana, Tutto and either Coral Reef or somewhere else that is yet to be determined. Do any of these places do fun anniversary stuff? We'd like to surprise them...I know Coral Reef does the menu and the dessert, but I'm not sure about the others. Thanks for tips in advance...

If you tell the CM's it is there anniversary when you make the ADR there may be special things like table decorations etc....I am sure they probably do the same for birthdays..a card or possible a cupcake or special dessert...Don't forget to have them pick up an anniversary button at guest services!

coral reef you have to do the menu ahead of time, and we have gotten a free glass of champagne there too.

Narcoossees also gave us free champagne and a menu that had hearts and said "congratulations Bobby and Heather" on it

if you know what resort they are checking in too....when you check in tell the CM you want the free card from m&m with the balloons sent to their room!!

CRT does something i think...so note it on the ADR

make them a fun tshirt from the DISigns!!!

Not sure of the details and you have to pay for it but at coral reef you can have a diver come to the glass with a sign.daveb

We were in WDW for out 1st Anniversary this year. My Dh and I had a reservation at Le Cellier. He had called Disney Florist and they had a long stemmed rose on the table and a charm bracelet waiting on the table and Le Cellier deorated the table. It was such a nice surprise. We also got the balloons and card at our resort and Dh ordered a wine basket and had rose petals all over the room.

My husband and I went to Artist Point for our anniversary and when our waiter saw us exchanging cards at the table he brought us out champagne!

Okay, I asked about anniversary stuff earlier and got some good feedback...today I made all my ADRs and the CM I spoke with said I had to let them know when I check in that we're celebrating an anniversary. I've celebrated our anniversary and our sons' birthdays before at Disney and I've always been able to have the CM make a note of it when I book my meals...are they not doing this anymore or did I just get a CM who's clueless??

My husband noted our anniversary to the CM last August when we checked into POR and we recieved a card signed by Mikey and Minnie (actual 5x7) photo. He didnt ask for anything just mentioned we were celebrating this trip with them. There may have been a piece of candy or cookie but no balloons. Still we were happy to have it waiting in our room at the end of the day.

No they still do it. I have the CM add all of my ADRs a note about our 4th anniversar this August. However, it took me 3 CM to get it done. The 1st one only put it on just 1, the 2nd one put it on a couple and told me to announce it at the podium for the rest, so I called back the 3rd time and finally got someone who was willing to work with me. Just call back again, and if someone doesnt wanna do it, hang u and call back again. Chances are, you will get a different CM.

Oh yeah, regarding the diver at Coral Reef - no it doesnt cost anything. However, you MUST have an ADR and it needs to be booked ASAP. When I called Debbi at coral reef to get the diver and menu set up for DH for our anniversary this August, I called on my 180 day mark to make ADRs. And Debbi told me that there was another person who was doing the diver as well, the same day. So it books up very fast.

Thanks Disney8704. I will call again, that's kind of what I figured, but the CM was emphatic about it that I thought it might have changed. I don't think we'll do the diver because we did it for our sons' birthdays last year and the friends that are going with us already knew about that. I wanted to do something that they'll be surprised about. I'm still thinking about a Wishes cruise...we'll see. I appreciate the help..I'll get on the phone again to see if I can get a hold of a CM that will list it.
