Hi there!! I'm new to the disboards. My dear wife is a Disney fanatic (I'm getting there too) and our anniversary is coming up. I would love to get her something very special this year, something as special as she is to me. Any ideas (other than a trip to Disney World, as this is already in the works) for a Disney related/themed gift?? Ladies, what would you just love to get?
Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

While I'm thinking about your question, just wanted to say hello and welcome! :wave2:

I got a Mickey Mouse watch (silver, understated...doesn't look cartoonish at all) that I just love at Christmas...my family got it in the parks....you could say it's to commemorate your time together....

Quick question...which anniversary is this for you? My DH and I like to do the traditional presents...like 1st anniversary is paper....I gave him annual passes to WDW ::yes:: They are paper, don't you know! The 2nd year was cotton so he got me a nice Disney shirt... (We honeymooned at Disney and used to spend every anniversary there...until we moved to VA :( from Florida!! So many of ours were Disney related since we're such nuts...)

Tell us the year and I'll tell you the traditional gift and then we can see if there are any good ideas there...

Personally, the one BIG thing that's out there right now that I want is the Mickey Mouse patio set that's in the catalog...but it's TOO expensive for us :(

 Welcome to the board disneygirlzhubby.
I would love to get a framed picture of my favorite Disney character. If you could get it signed, or have the frame engraved, that would be a nice extra touch.

Traditional gifts for the sixth anniversary are candy or iron; modern gifts for the sixth anniversary are wood.

SO--
Candy....you could order some custom chocolates from Disney catering (the white chocolate glass slipper filled with chocolate mousse sounds good!) to be waiting in your room! I've also heard of them doing chocolate frames with chocolate pictures inside of the castle or one of the hotels....or you could have them put her favorite character's signed photo inside it as someone suggested above....

Iron....heh heh heh...wish it was my 6th! There's always that Disney patio set in the catalog :teeth: There are also garden accents at one of the stores in DTD...

Wood....they have furniture pieces....or if you're looking smaller you could do a Mickey cutting board (from World of Disney or the kitchen store in MK)....or you could get some carved items from AKL or AK.....

Will post more if I think of them...

My husband and I were married in Disney World and he gave me a glass slipper from the Magic Kingdom that had our names engraved on one side and our wedding date on the other.

I love my glass slipper.

By the way, Welcome!
