We will be staying at The Fort August 14 to August 28. During that time we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary. Does anyone have any recommendations for dinner? We were thinking about HDR. Haven't been there in atleast 15 years and we enjoyed the HDR on our honeymoon. Any suggestions would be great.

HDD is always a great choice for a celebration!! :thumbsup2

If you want something a little more intimate or upscale, Citricos over at the Grand Floridian is a favorite of my dh and mine! Very good food, and nice atmosphere. A little spendy, but then so is HDD.

Artist Point at the WL is nice too, and so is Jiko at the AKL.

This is a really great place. We always make a point to have one meal a trip here. If the kids are along, they will like the choices as well.

Grats on 30 years, and enjoy your night!

Bottle of wine, some nicely grilled steaks and steamed veggies, warm apple pie and freshly ground Kona coffee at the trailer. I am chef, of course, and I do an amazing job. Just ask FWGirl.

You cater at The Fort ?

Calif. Grill - time it so that you can watch the FW. Request a window seat and get there early to better your chances of getting one. ENjoy! :)

All good choices, but you knew someone was going to suggest Victoria and Alberts at the GF. It's not a little pricey, it's a lot pricey. Hey, it's 30 years and they give the lady a rose.

All the ones so far are IMHO too busy or sort of crowded atomsphere except Artist Point, but our favorite even over V&A (we have eaten there 3X) at like 3X the cost is Bistro at the Paris Pavillion and is now OUR FAVORITE upscale dining experience.

A couple of other options are CRT for the dinner and maybe Coral Reef, but haven't been to Coral Reef in a few years since we are trying to complete our "bucket list" of eating at every place at WDW and haven't gotten back to it, but 5 or so years ago it was nice.

To me way too many tables, too close together and too many people around you and waiters constantly going and coming. It lost it's appeal back in the late 1980's when they got ride of the floor show theme which was great.
