We will be at DL on our 11th wedding anniversary. This is a bit of a budget trip, but we want to have one nice sit down dinner on our anniversary. Without breaking the bank! It also doesn't have to be super fancy. :goodvibes

I'm thinking a place in DTD, and would like the experts recommendations! I was looking at House of Blue's, Ralph Brennan's or Tortilla Joes (we like Mexican food what can I say?). Besides if the food is good, I'm also curious around what it would cost, for 3 people to eat there. We usually do Rainforest Cafe, and we still may do that. But I haven't ate at any of the ones mentioned, and would like to try something new. Thanks in advanced!

We liked Brennan's when I was there a few years ago-food was good and fun atmosphere (and yum! Bananas Foster!). I don't know what prices were like as I think my folks paid :) but I'm sure you can find a menu online.

We had a wonderful meal at Tortilla Joes several years ago. We both thought the food was awesome. The atmosphere is very casual but nice - similar to a Cheesecake Factory.

I have eaten at the HOB in Las Vegas and New Orleans and probably would pick Tortilla Joes over HOB. But they also have totally different menus so it depends on what you are in the mood for.

DH took me to Brennans when we were in New Orleans and it was soooo romantic! I haven't eaten at the one in DTD though so can't offer any advice on that.

Happy 11th!!! We are celebrating our 10th this year and plan to go to DL for our anniversary too!

We've only eaten at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen since the fast food counter at Tortilla Joe's doesn't count. We Loved the Jazz Kitchen, the food was great and the atmosphere was lively. I'd recommend it.

I'd love to do the Blue Bayou, I'm just not sure if it would be in our budget. But it's something to look in to as well!

Thanks everyone for the advice, I'm gonna look in the Blue Bayou, but I'm also leaning towards Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen or Tortilla Joe's! For those two it just might end up what were in the mood for! :) I know we'll need to get PS ASAP for Blue Bayou, so I'll have to look in to that quickly! :)

The only onw I have been to thus far is Tortilla Joes. We liked it alot. Four of us, with alcohol for the adults, was under $50. Not bad at all for Disneyland.

Forgot to add...festive, casual atmosphere, great service. reminds me of Chevy's Fresh Mex in Reno/Tahoe. Slightly more authentic cooking style. I don't care either way...mexican food is just yummy! Only a few that have disappointed!

Now that's what I'm talking about! Good food and DRINKS for that many people for under $50! Sounds good to me! LOL

I looked at the Blue Bayou menu, I think for what we would order it would be well over $100. As much as I'd love to eat there, for this trip it's gonna be too pricey. Maybe in October when we go.

I'm thinking we must try Tortilla Joe's! :)

We live in the Reno area too, and eat at Chevy's often, so I know exactly what your talking about. We love Mexican food so I doubt we'll be disappointed!

Well hello neighbor. We are actually about 40 miles east on 80. How about you?

The nice thing about Tortilla Joes is that you get those free chips and salsa! Dh and I went there for our solo anniversary trip a few years ago, feasted on chips and drinks, then split an entree. It was pretty reasonable and they didn't mind at all that we shared. We also did Naples the next night, that was more expensive but also fun. We sat outside at both, we love that. And at Naples we could hear this lovely violinist who plays right outside there most nights, esp. during the summer. I think you cannot go wrong with either choice but I am somehow betting that Tortilla Joes would be cheaper than Ralph Brennans. Gotta loves those free chips!
