Anniversary Dinner Help

We are celebrating our 15th on May 13th and I booked the California Grill about an hour before the fireworks that night. We have never eaten there before and I was hoping some of you could tell me some reviews and maybe some best picks on what to order.

We've eaten at Cali Grill three times and love it! I always get the filet, and it is amazing. We've been there twice with my sister in law and her family, and none of us have ever had anything to complain about! I hear great things about their sushi (I don't do anything fishy ;-}), pork tenderloin and their desserts are to die for!

We ate there in January for my hubby's birthday, and they had a window seat ready for us and our two boys, complete with Mickey and Cinderella Castle pixie dust on the table. Right as we completed our meal, they brought out the cake I'd preordered, along with coffee. It was just the most amazing experience ever!

My helpful hint...if you're there for Wishes and want to go outside, ask to go out the back area. It's always been much less crowded and quieter!

Great choice! Love it...ate there on our honeymoon and 1st anniversary. Since it was on our reservation that it was our anniversary we even got a free chocolate cake for dessert. Filet is the best there. Over all can't go wrong...view is beautiful and Wishes is fun up there since you get a different view on them and not crowded.

Cali Grill is fantastic. Request a table by the window for sure so that you can get a great view of the fireworks. There's a high chance that you'll get it if the staff know that it's your anniversary (either call the restaurant ahead or check in at the podium while wearing your anniversary buttons). But if you don't, no worries- the view from the observation deck is breathtaking.

The food is great. There are a lot of sushi options that are fantastic if you're into sushi. The flatbreads are also excellent. Check out the menu online on either wdwinfo.com or allearsnet. The food has always been fresh and yummy for us. This is one of my favorite restaurants tied with Narcoossee's. You'll have a blast!

Thanks everyone. I am going to have a hard time picking between the sushi or the filet. Yummy yummy. DH will love the flatbreads I am sure. Poor guy has gout and can't have the seafood or beef anymore. Anyway, do they pipe in the music from wishes or is it best to go on the observation deck?

The sushi is much better than the filet. I've been disappointed with the filet I've had here (twice) but the sushi has always been excellent. Your husband will be glad that he can't eat beef once he gets a taste of their flatbreads.

Yes, they dim the lights and pipe in the music. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat, I prefer to watch from the table.

Great choice!

I've eaten here 4 times now and the food is always great. The flatbreads are really creative and delicious.

If they have a risotto on the appetizer menu, don't miss it!

The filet is really good. Best steak of my last trip.

I really liked the Ostrich entree I had earlier this year. When I was there about a week ago they still had an Ostrich dish.

And for dessert, 3 times out of 4, I've gone with the Valrhona Chocolate Cake and loved it. The ice cream/sauce flavors change with the season. I've had it with raspberry, strawberry, and peppermint.
