Anniversary Celebration

We are sailing on the 3 day Wonder October 16th. We will be celebrating our parent's 16th wedding anniversary. I've already ordered stateroom decorations through Disney to surprise them when they go into their cabin. However I'd like to do something else! Anyone have any ideas? Do the restaurants do anything special? Also....do I need to call DCL and ask them to make a notation on our reservation that we are celebrating something special??

Yes, I'd let DCL know about the anniversary...they should ask you what night you'd like to have it celebrated...then on that night, your servers (and possibly even the head server) should bring out a cake.

As for other ideas... what about a stateroom credit? This is good for merchandise, spa treatment, or even a nice bottle of wine with dinner.

You could also order a nice gift from Shirley (The Perfect Gift)...maybe a gift basket or flowers.

I'm sure that others will also have some great ideas!

Don't count of the cake though...that is the only thing our head server made a point of saying she would do...for all the couples at our table celebrating...and it is the only thing that never got done. She arranged it with everyone the first night...we never saw her again until it was time to deliver tips. Pretty convenient for her...lol.

From the DCL website:

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday, honeymoon, or other special occasion, please have your travel agent advise us of such occasions at least three weeks prior to departure.

I would definitely call your travel agent or DCL direct and have it noted on your reservation!
