Do you need to dine at WDW on your actual anniversary to celebrate it? Our anniversary is Jan. 2 and it is always rather anti-climatic coming just after New Year's. The date worked good for our wedding because it was still during college break time.

If this is considered to be wrong I will not do it. But it would be sort of fun to "celebrate" our anniversary at Artist Point.

no! go for it!! i have celebrated my b-day sometimes before/after the actual date! have a great time celebrating!:yay:

We are going to be celebrating our anniversary during our trip even though the actual date isn't until a week later.

Our anniversary actually falls during our trip (Dec 26) so we are trying to decide where we want to spend the day and where we want to do dinner.

When I made our reservations, they asked if we were celebrating anything and I said "yes, but our anniversary is actually the month before as you can see from our trip notes last year." The agent put it on our ressie. I asked him not to and he insisted which I find kind of embarassing. I think if you're within a few weeks, so what but my goodness.....this will 6 weeks after our anny.

Thanks everybody. Apparently Disney likes to help folks celebrate things. I think we'll go for it.

:woohoo:My DD14 is a 12/24 baby:santa: and she always feels her birthday is downplayed by Xmas, no matter how hard we try!:guilty: We usually take her to the nice seafood buffet and let her open her birthday presents when she gets home. So we are going over Thanksgiving this year and celebrating her and my DM's birthday, which is 1/1. I know...we have the holiday birthday clan:laughing: I don't feel one bit bad about making them feel special and celebrating something that usually does get downplayed by the holidays....WDW is gonna play it up for them this year:thumbsup2:cool1: I'm so excited for them!!!!:yay:

Our first wedding anniversary is in September but we are celebrating it in December :cloud9: It doesnt matter when you celebrate, its what you are celebrating that counts and at disney everyone loves a celebration

When I made our ADRs for Dec, the agent asked if we were celebrating anything. I said no, our 20th anniversary is in Sept, but unfortunately not during our trip. She put it in for ALL of our ADRs. I felt kind of uneasy about it, due to the big gap, but she said the actual date of our anniversary was already listed, and the restaurants could choose what to do with the info. It eased my mind a little, knowing the restaurants could maybe choose to ignore it (what a funny thought).

We were just there in Aug 15-23 but our anniversary was the 12. We celebrated everywhere we went the enitire week. It was so much fun.
