My husband and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary next year, during our trip to WDW. We are traveling with extended family, who will watch our son for the late afternoon and evening while we celebrate. Any anniversary celebration ideas? We are looking for a romantic evening, and we would like a nice, sit down meal. We have been to WDW before, so we have some ideas, but we would love some more!

We spent our 6th anniversary at Fultons at Downtown Disney. After dinner we strolled around Downtown Disney and shopped!! It may not sound romantic but it was nice just strolling without our (then) 3 year old daughter and knowing she was safe with my parents back at the resort.

Or try California Grill at the Contemporary during the MK fireworks!!!

Have fun!!!

My husband and I will be in Dinsney next week for our 5th anniversary. We will be on holiday with 2 of our friends. During the day we have booked the day at Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins (something I have always wanted to do and will be memorable.) Then we plan to go into sea world to ride Kracken (not romantic I know but we both love white knuckle rides.) Then in the evening our friends have planned a dinner and something for us but won't tell us what yet! Hopefully this should be a memorable day. I hope you have a great day too.

My DH and I will be there in Sept for out 1st anniversary. We have PS at CA Grille, and then plan to go to Pleasure Island and enjoy the clubs. I am also having a basket of Champagne, glasses and other goodies delivered to our room.

We are celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. We are staying at the Dolphin. We have been to Disney "Alone" four times before this and 15 times with our kids. We plan on eating in France, Germany and Japan in Epcot. We love a hotdog and beer at Fantasmic. We plan on going to PI at least twice over our five night stay. We love the Comedy Club and Adverturer's Club.

When dining offsite, the seafood at Joe's Crabshack is pretty good. WE plan on eating at Fulton's this trip. We like the Rain Forest late at night as well as the Sci-Fi, Brown Derby and the California Grill.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!

Although I've never done this, I understand that you can renew your marriage vows at the restaurant in 'the land'. Request a re-hitching ceremony, and your server will renew your vows for you with Mickey, Minnie or whatever character is available as witnesses. There is no extra charge for this. It should be lots of fun.

Thanks so much for the great ideas! We are also considering the Chef's Table at Victoria and Alberts. Keep the great ideas coming!

My dh and I celebrated our 5th last Sept at disney staying at AKL. We renewed our vows at the Garden Grill. We then had dinner at Bomas (Had ice cream before dinner !) The cast there was great ! They knew it was our anniversary so after we had a fantastic meal they brought over a tray that had cookies on it and "Happy 5th Anniversary" written on it with chocolate with chocolate hidden mickeys all over it. I wish I had a pic of it on digital so I could show you its hard to describe. The best was the entire crew had signed a Happy Anniversary card to us in their native languages. Then hubby and I just strolled around animal Kingdom Lodge and enjoyed the animals and the peaceful night.

Thanks Jiggerj! We will be staying at AKL, so we will definitely eat at Boma, at least one night.

We did the rehitching ceremoney at the Garden Grill in May. They even brought out a small cake with "Happy Anniversary" on it.
This is something you could for lunch with your child as it is a charcter meal (we did it with the kids). Also, I was the only one expecting it, so that was really fun.

My family plans a festive dinner at the California Grille the night before we leave to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. Do you think we could get a character to come there and surprise them with a re-hitching ceremony? I'd love to arrange for something special other than just a cake! :D
