Hope this is in the right spot!

My inlaws are paying for me and DH tickets for a trip in September. We are going the week BEFORE their 41st anniversary. Trying to plan a few little surprises for them.

Is it wrong to get the Happy Anniversay pins if it isn't ACTUALLY your anniversary? Where can I pick up the pins? Can you or do you need to get them ahead of time?

TIA!

:)Yes! We have congratulated more than one couple at WDW who were wearing their pins and they told us their anniversary was really past and they were just celebrating at that time. So go and have a great time and Happy Anniversary!

I was worried it would be looked at like jumping in line or something. I think as long as it is the week before or after your trip, then it's ok. Thanks! This will be a surprise to the whole party when I get them the pins, so I am looking forward to it.

One more thing tho. Can you only get them in MK or any of the parks? Thanks again!

We brought my parents in February and they celebrated their 40th anniversary in November. The folks at OKW were happy to give us buttons- it was also my dad's 1st time altogether, so we got some first timers buttons too.

I don't think that would be a problem. They are still celebrating their anniversary, even if it isn't the exact day! I look at it the same as the Birthday pins. People wear them all week, not just on their actual birthday because they are celebrating the birthday that trip.

I believe you can get them at Guest Services at any park, or from the check-in desk at any Disney resort.

Just don't say it IS my anniversary (or their anniversary), say you are Celebrating their anniversary! (you are just celebrating a little early).

Hummm, I am very much excited to learn more about their 41st Anniversary...

Well, like I said, I don't think we are going FOR their annie. They are retired military and therefore got very good deals on tickets and hotel, so we are going for that really. But since it IS so close to their annie, I wanted to a little something for them. I may also get them one of those cute little cakes for their room too.

I say it's fine. That is when they are CELEBRATING it. My hubby and I just went and CELEBRATED our honeymoon, even though we had been married over a year. That is still when we CELEBRATED it. lol see the key words there?

My DH and I were all set to go to WDW in January to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Three weeks before we were set to go there was a change in our work schedule and we had to cancel. :sad1::sad1::sad1:
I am now rebooked for September and you can bet that we are going to CELEBRATE :cheer2::cheer2: 25 years and still going strong! :cloud9: We're going to wear our pins proudly!

I'm laughing here, because last year my DS - whose 4th birthday we were celebrating with the trip to Disney a couple of weeks AFTER his actual birthday - realized quickly the value of that button! LOL - he kept putting it back on ... each day when he got dressed for the day, he'd go scrounge around his dirty clothes looking for the button and put it on the clean clothes....the first day we basically tried to pursuade him that he had his celebration the day before, maybe leave the button off so other kids got the attention for their birthday --- no way, he looked at my mom and said to her, "mum-mums (what he calls my mom), at Disney, Mickey Mouse is magic and the button makes it my birthday everyday, Mickey says so!".....and with that, it was his birthday everyday for the rest of our time there!

You should definitly get the pins. I see nothing wrong with it. A lot of people celebrate their special day for their entire trip. Plus not everyone is able to take a vacation on the exact date so they celebrate at a different time. I believe you can pick up the pins when you check in at your resort and inside magic kingdom.

My ex husband and I went a month after our anniversary and we still wore the pins...we were there to celebrate our anniversary, so just because it doesn't fall right at your anniversary...wear your pins with Pride!!!

Congrats on 41 years....that is awesome!

Well, you can't argue with The Mouse, can ya?

Thanks again ya'll! They don't know anything about Disney so the buttons will be a little surprise.

My 20th anniversary is June 4th and we are going during August. I will still be celebrating my anniversary then. My DH asked me what I wanted for our anniversary. I told him that this trip coming up is enough for me.

im glad you asked! were gogin a week before our tenth this year to coincide with the free dining. i want to snag the pins but was wondering! dont forget they also have pins for your first trip to dw too!!!

Don't be silly. Not every one can celebrate their anniversary on he exact date. Its the spirit that counts. :)

Have a magical trip!
