Anna Nicole Smith... got married?!?!

From what I've read on the Bounty Hunger, it says he got married the day after she died. I don't think it is understandable, there is no way I could function when my sons died, I don't think I could do it. I know everyone is different and he is a man and they grieve totally different then women (not saying he didn't grieve, just differently).

I don't think it looks tack that she got married, people do crazy things when there grieving, (I know look who were talking about, she never does anything normal!). Everything I've ever read it says you shouldn't make any major decisions after a loss, but when your grieving you don't think like that. I actually think they got married because of what this lawyer said about the laws in the Bahamas and patertiny.

Well, we watched the show where he got married and he seemed to get the call the morning OF the marriage as they were getting dressed. They decided to go ahead with the wedding since she would have wanted them to. She may have died the day before his wedding, but from the TV show, it looked as if he learned it as he was getting ready for the wedding and they all asked him if he wanted to cancel and he said no, that it would be best to go ahead as she would have been mad if they canceled.

I think they want to protect the baby. I am sure *IF* the baby could be the guys, here in the US, trying to make money by being on every talk show there is, she is afraid of losing another child. Right or wrong she has just lost one child and is probably overly worried about her new daughter.

Wow, I think she is an idiot but I have to feel sorry for her now.

Aren't some of the most stressful things in your life moving, getting married, giving birth, and losing a child? And it is happening to her all at once. Yikes.

Obviously the marriage is to solidify the claim that Stern is the father which he may very well be. However stern a pretty crappy lawyer if thats the case.
If they were smart he should have married her, WHILE she was pregnant, Under US law, the child of a marriage is presummed to be the child of the husband, and Birkhead couldn't have done anything about it.

Anna Nicole is pretty whacked, but Birkhead is no prize either, all he is doing is being an attention hound. If it's really his. Back of from all the statements and proceed privately.

I have always thought Anna was a little wacky. I had seen her show in the past. BUT that being said, to me, she appeared to be a very good mother to Daniel. She appeared (despite the fact she is a big celebrity) to have Daniel by her side in almost every picture the Media took of her! (Except maybe some of the trial photos). And she always appeared to have her arms locked around his arms, or she was hugging him or kissing him. Wacky or not, Anna was a loving Mom.

Howard K Stern said on Larry, she has been coping as best as she can. That they had medicated her earlier on, right after Daniel's death.

I am confused as to the wedding or even a committment ceremony. :confused3 This is a little soon after Daniel's death. Howard K Stern said they have not even buried Daniel yet? :confused3

As far as DOG: The wedding was to take place in a matter of hours. His daughter was in Alaska. The were in Hawaii. All the guests were assembled. Dog choose to go ahead with the wedding and as he said that morning, "we will celebrate Barbara's life as we celebrate our marriage today".

Here's a link saying it was the day before, with editing they can make any thing look the way they want: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12900713/

Guess I see now why he continued with the wedding, the show must go on!

No one has stated that the death did not take place the day before, as that article states and we all agree. What the article fails to say is when Dog learned of it. I think you are reading into it. No where in the article does it say when he learned of the death... On the show, he learned of it just before the ceremony.

HONOLULU - Duane "Dog" Chapman, star of A&E's reality show "Dog the Bounty Hunter," has married his longtime sidekick, Beth Smith.

The sunset ceremony on the Big Island took place Saturday, a day after the death of Chapman's daughter. Barbara Katy Chapman, 23, was killed in a car accident near her home of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Chapman gathered with his 10 surviving children — two of whom he had with Smith — and discussed whether to proceed with the wedding.

"They all decided unanimously they should celebrate the wedding and her life," said Michael Feeney, senior vice president of A&E television network.

I think it it genius. Moving to Bahamas, finding the loophole in the law. Great research!

I am not saying it is morally right, I am saying it was a very smart move to accomplish her goal of alientating the possbile biological father, the photographer guy.

Just a theory... I initially thought this was strange but now after thinking about it I have a different view.

Imagine you give birth to a child and your only other child passes away a few days later. Imagine the grief, imagine not being rational. And then imagine the birthfather of your newborn threatening custody, wanting to be apart of her life (not saying he isn't right). Imagine you are scared out of your mind of "losing" your other child. With the questionable paternity and the laws of the Bahamas, I think she was trying to secure her other child.

Again, not saying it was right but I can kind of understand why she would have done it.

Like I said editing is everything and "The show must go on"!

I think its weird how Howard K. Stern has been in her life all these years and now they are finally a couple. You know he prob always loved her...why else would he hang around. don't say money...she doesn't have any and the lawsuit is ????. so...

my guess is that she is getting comfort from him and prob thinks she loves him too for being there thru all her messes. then they figure it will get rid of the supposed father of the baby. but...since the marriage wasn't legal even under Bahamain law....it must have been for love?? :confused3 :rotfl2:

I'm a bit more cynical I guess. I think it may have to do with the other guy claiming to be the baby's father. I admit I haven't kept up with the story, but I do know some other guys insists he is the father. Maybe it is a way of sticking it to him that HKS and ANS had a commitment ceremony. I really do think she is grieving the loss of her son and some people grieve in different ways. I would hate to hear what people may have said about me when I was out LMAO and having FUN with a group of my close friends a mere 3 days after my mom died...
