Hi Any one been this time of the year?.
What was the weather like.
Only tried the beach once, and that was also in November, at Daytona, freezing cold, blowing a gale.
Mighty disappointed, thought Daytona was a good spot, it was actually dirty and like a "has been " state. Wasted a days holiday for me.
Liking the reviews about Anna Maria, just don't know if it will be any use this tome of the year.
Fancying around 3 days there in a beach front apartment.
Cheers :goodvibes

We went as a day trip the day after thanksgiving 2009 (28th November?)

Weather was cooler that day - I had a hoody on and long linen trousers. DH had his shorts on like a good northern man.

We sat outside to eat at the rod and reel pier and the staff thought we were mad.

But later that trip we had some very warm days.

We've done daytona and anna maria - anna maria is much nicer imo

Thanks for that, Dont know what to do

Normally the weather in November is great for sunbathing and strolling along the beach, low to mid 70F's. It can vary a lot, we were once on AMI in January and it reached 85F. The sea temperature will have cooled off a little so only the hardier folk will be swimming.
We were there last November and a quick check shows photos of us lying on the beach in the sun.
We will be there again this November and will plan on several beach days.
We prefer Coquinas beach at the southern end as the facilities are very good but the top end of the island, near the Sandbar restaurant, is excellent although without showers and toilets. There is free public transport up and down the island so you can sit on one beach then go and eat at another!
Locals refer to being "Floribbean", the conveniences of Florida with the more laid back lifestyle of the Caribbean.

I've been in November for the past 3 years. It's quite variable as other posters have said - some days really warm and good for sunbathing but sometimes you need long sleeves. I would say most of the time it was high 70s - for me the sea was too chilly but I remember seeing other in there.

I would definitely choose it over Daytona as the beaches are really nice :thumbsup2

Thanks. Think we will chance it, fancy a change
