Anna & Elsa

Just to bring this full circle, we saw Anna and Elsa this morning. It sounds like they have changed the procedure but a bit, at least as compared to other descriptions on here. We arrived at 8:15 and got in line to enter the park. They opened the gates at 8:30 and when we got to the hub, they directed anyone wanting to see Anna and Elsa to go to a line on the left hand side, with everyone else up against the ropes as normal. At probably 8:45, they walked everyone in line back and put us in the line for Anna and Elsa -- no sprinting or anything like that.

By the time the park actually opened at 9, the line was quoted at 5 hours. We were fairly near the start of the line, and got in around 9:40 or so.

Turns out I wore my running shoes for nothing, lol.

This sounds like a great improvement!

It is indeed "full circle", from what I have heard. Although I never saw a separate line form before rope drop, I know that others had experienced it and were wondering if it would happen - for whatever reason it did not on one particular day a couple of weeks ago.

I did read a report that on another day when that separate line was in use, there were still runners who cut in to get to the real queue before those who waited where instructed.

I'm curious, where did you actually line up for this? Was there people next to you at a regular rope in the hub? Did they lead you straight through the castle?

Also...what would prevent someone from jumping out of that line to head for a ride(ie PP)? :scratchin

My question is why doesn't DL just have two sets of sisters. They could divide that room up or build another extension. Have a separate holding area where they can direct guests left or right, never indicating there was two sets. It would make sense for Disney to get people moving through that line faster so they can get to other things. Just sayin'. :confused3

I had this same question. Why not add more Anna's and Elsa's? They could also add them to the princess breakfast.

I thought this too! Isn't this what they do with Mickey at his house?

We started on the left side of the partners statue, in the normal rope drop area as close as possible to the center. After a few minutes, they moved the line into the center of the hub. A few minutes after that, they led us back.

I suppose nothing would technically prevent you from hopping out of line of getting in line for a ride, but there were quite a number of cast members leading us back there and stationed along the way.

So anyway, here's the takeaway -- if you want to be at the front of the Anna and Elsa line, be one of the first to the gates, and when you are through the gates, THAT is the time to take off running. We did not, because I figured I'd be reasonably close to the rope and could outrun most people for that 100 yards or so to the queue, but by the time you get to the hub, your position in line is essentially set. It would definitely be bad form to run in front of everyone while the line is being walked back, I'm kind of surprised to hear that people have done that.
