Anna & Elsa - getting a cancellation FP+?

I'm trying to book a FP for my friends at the end of September. Their trip is only 5 days long so by the time I tried to book their fast passes 60 days in advance at midnight........there was nothing available. I even tried to book just 1 person, but nothing was available. I booked all of their other fast passes. Is there much hope of getting a cancellation? If so, how does one go about booking it? So far, I've been accessing their 2 Magic Kingdom days on MDE and tried to change attractions. Nothing has been available so far for A&E. Has anyone been successful at getting a cancellation?

Go in every night and check. I got ours just last week. I couldn't get any previously. Keep checking don't give up.

I had a FP for some of our group but not all, the night before one came up. Keep trying!!

I was able to get a FP for one after trying every day (multiple times) for about 2 weeks. After trying to copy it to my dd every day (multiple times) for about a week I was able to copy a fp for her. Unfortunately they copied her to a time several hours away from mine so now I'm checking several times a day to try and get overlapping times by using the change time button since they took away the copy feature. I have a little bit over a week to get our times to overlap. I have long since given up on trying to get any for any of the other members of our party, who while they would like to see them aren't going to be crushed if they don't see them like my dd. If I can just get these times to overlap I would be golden, but even checking several times a day it has never given me any other time when I use the change time feature - not sure at what point I just give up. I haven't been able to get 7DMT either and thanks to the commercial DD also wants to ride that.

Good luck in your search! I would just keep trying each day and hope someone changes their park days around.

OP, if you do the "change attraction" the system is only looking at that same time window. Instead, try selecting new fp for that day, and see if A&E are available. Try for just 1 or 2 in the party at a time. However. Doing it this way makes you rebook all 3, so you could lose a fp you already had, like 7DMT. It can also screw up the timing on your other 2. Lots to be aware of. Good luck!

I booked my fp a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get A& E (60 days out, booked at midnight, etc). Since then, I've secured one dingle fp. Now I just need to get one for my daughter!

I managed to get them for our entire family within the last week for the second week of August. First I picked up 2 for my teen DD and three yr old DD. Then I was able to add myself. Several days later I was able to add DS and a few hours after that DH. (fortunately the baby doesn't need one) The times overlap but it works. They pop up at random times. Every single one popped up at a different time of the day so there is no consistency.

Good luck. They really should make the meet and greet FP+ for a group rather than force family's or groups going in together to find individual fastpasses for the same time.

It's pretty scary giving up the fastpasses I was actually able to get in exchange for the *chance* at an A&E Fastpass. I think my son will kill me if I end up with nothing all because his little sister is a Frozen fanatic! This whole process is so frustrating. Why not make it so you can at least see what's available before giving up what you already have? UGH!
