Anna & Elsa Boutique questions...

We are heading to DLR to celebrate DD's 7th birthday a few weeks prior. She wants to have a makeover at the A&E Boutique. We have done BBB in the past. She has always had super long hair...down to her bootie. She has been wanting to get it cut, and last week I let her...10 inches! Her hair is just past her shoulders now in a long, A-line bob.
My main question is...will they be able to do any coronation hairstyles with this length of hair?
Also, how long did the makeover take? Are there any Photopass opportunities during and/or after the makeover?

Any info you have will be appreciated. Thanks!

We did it last summer when they had started the Anna and Elsa coronation hairstyles, but it had not officially been closed as Studio 365 and converted into the A&E boutique yet. My daughter had cut her long hair for the summer too. Her hair was sitting on her shoulders or just the slightest bit below in an even bob, and they told her that it was too short for the Anna or Elsa hairstyle (and she was wearing the Anna coronation dress at the time). They wound up doing the Bow hairstyle on her (I don't know if they still have that one). We even asked if they would just do the front braid for either the Anna or Elsa hairstyle and then they could just leave the back in the ponytail they make if it was too short to make the full bun and they said no- if the hair was not long enough to do the full back, then they could not deviate and do part of the hairstyle. They told us her only other option was the style that was the same as the "courtyard" hairstyle at BBB which she had done before at BBB and absolutely hated because it was too tight and hurt her head- I think that is the style they call Cool as Ice at the Anna & Elsa boutique.

Although they told my daughter it was not possible, I do think that I have seen photos, maybe here on the disboards, where they have done it on girls who had hair about the length of my daughter.

I think the makeover took about 30 minutes. They do not have photopass at all. If you go into the parks, you can find a photopass photographer and ask them to take some close up shots of your daughter.

Thanks for the tip about taking her to the parks and getting a PP Photographer to snap some pics.

My daughter (8) has had her hair done there twice. The first time as Elsa, the second as Anna. We preferred the Elsa, as it held up better and lasted longer.

It seems as if it depends upon the stylist you get wether they will deviate from the style at all. I did see one stylist do an Anna for a girl with pretty short hair. They should be able to do it with shoulder length hair. If they say they can't, try asking if there is another stylist available who can. It may just be an "experience " issue.

Thanks! Hopefully I will get someone willing to at least give it a try.

I didn't even realize there was an Anna & Elsa Boutique! I guess that shows just how long it's been since we've been to DL. Does anyone have photos of the hairstyles or maybe a price list of what they offer? I have three daughters and I'm sure at least my youngest will want to do this.

Here is a site that includes the hairstyles, but not the prices: http://www.disneyparksmerchandise.com/parksauthentic/anna-elsas-boutique/
My understanding is that the girls hairstyles are between $30-40 and the boys are about $18.

My daughter's hair is about that length (maybe even a little shorter) and she was able to get the Elsa coronation style. It looked great and as lorijohnhill mentioned it held up great and lasted a long time. We really liked the styles there better than the ones at BBB. We would probably go there again instead of BBB in the future.
