Ok so I'm that guy that plans months out, gets fast passes at 60 days, dining reservations at 180 days etc...here I am thinking ok cruise control for our trip in a few weeks and my wife says "I think (our 3 yr old ) would like to see Anna and Elsa! Yikes! Needless to say the fast pass pool for our trip in March is dry as the Sahara! So my question is, are Anna /Elsa there in Fantasyland as soon as rope drop occurs? If so, are they there an hour earlier for morning extra magical hours?!
Thanks in advance!

Martin

I'm not sure about EMH- just did a quick search online and the meet wasn't on the list of open attractions but that could definitely be incorrect. They are open at rope drop and many people go to rope drop for the purpose of getting to Anna & Elsa. I would check wait times later at night- during parades and during wishes. We weren't able to get FP last year to meet them but did meet them with a 20 minute wait during wishes (last march). Good Luck!! My 5yr old is an Elsa fanatic!

Yes.

Usually, but I doubt this can be guaranteed.

If there are morning EMH, that's the best time to try, but you will still likely wait. Most people who show for RD or EMH open are after either 7DMT or A&E, even now.

It's showing 35 minutes right now. If you are avoiding Easter and the heavy spring break times, you should have a wait, but not the two or three hour waits that we saw initially.

Thanks everyone! We are there well before Easter- will give it a go each of 2 mornings we are there!

If you have a fastpass to play around with you can try splitting into smaller groups and trying to get FP with overlapping times. Other than A&E and 7DMT, you should be able to switch back to any other ride this far in advance with not too many problems if it doesn't work. Otherwise - I think you'll be fine at ropedrop if you're really there at ropedrop. My last few times it looked like within 20-30 minutes after RD the wait was really long but then dropped down to manageable levels by afternoon (not short - but manageable).

I have a 8am pre park opening at BoG for breakfast. That's another alternative.
It's a nice way to be back in Fantasyland at rope drop.
Going to plan to be done eating at 8:45 and beat the entering crowds.
Then I will have my choice of Mine train, Peter Pan or Anna/Elsa without a Fastpass.

In December I did the same thing and chose Mine Train as my first ride along with some other guests
that ate at BoG. It worked out perfectly!

We were in a similar situation on our last trip, except DD4 decided she was "into" Frozen once we got there!! We waited less than 30 minutes during Wishes one night.

Try to get one fast pass at a time. That is how I did it. I got one and then kept checking to get an overlapping one. I saw a lot of single times pop up.
Keep checking!

FYI I pulled up SDFP for it three times for middle of the day this past week. I was kind of bummed DS didn't want to do it again since it felt like such a gift! It was a low crowd week, but always good to keep looking on MDE during the day.

I think Frozen Fever is over for the most part, but if it's a high priority, you can always get an early breakfast ressie and then bolt over to the meet and greet right away. We'll be doing the same for the mine train. :D

Here's our experience with that back on our Aug 2014 trip....

Before our trip I was able to secure Anna and Elsa FPs for the late afternoon on our first day at MK. We had reservations at the BBB early that morning, before the park opened to the general public, so as soon as we were done there and the rope dropped we made a beeline to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel. Well, we were in such a rush to beat the crowd that we accidently got into the line to meet Anna and Elsa! lol We literally waited less than ten minutes in that line, took our photos and got our books signed, and jumped right back in to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel. Once we were done with them the wait time outside Anna and Elsa was up to 45 minutes and this was all within 30 min of RD. I'd suggest either getting there early that day, picking a day when they have early EMH, or maybe scheduling something early that morning in the park before RD (ie, breakfast buffet) that way you get a chance to beat the outside crowds heading over to meet A&E as well.

The problem with A&E is that it doesn't take a lot of people to back up the line. I agree with doing EMH or trying to get an 8 am at BOG.

The Cinderella and Rapunzel line was actually longer than A&E for most of our trip last week. I think so many people FP A&E and standby for C&R that there has been a bit of a trend reversal with the princesses.

I questioned two different cast members last week about why Cinderella/Rapunzel had a longer standby line than Anna/Elsa. Both told
Me that they give out 3x more fast passes for Cind/rapunzel than Anna and Elsa. So the FP line holds up the standby line making Cind/Rap longer.
