Me and my sisters recently got into the Fruits Basket anime, I finished the series, and it's AWESOME!
Kind of simple in a way, and still very creative!

I read death note just to know what happened in it, didn't like it too much though, waay too creepy especially at the end. My dad knew I was reading it and recorded an episode of the anime, I really wanted to tell him there was no way I'd ever watch such a thing but I didn't want to hurt his feelings. So I deleted it while he was at work.

have you read the manga?..in the anime it only covers vol 1-5..and they mix a lot up..there's so much more that they don't have in the anime

I've actually seen a few shinigami cosplayers since I go to like 4 or cons a year..and yeah that whole thing with Light/Kira and L is crazy

haha thats sick.. were they good? and yea, i just got to the part in the series where N comes in... im kinda skeptic about the rest of the series being as good as the first part now, but im definitely gonna give it a chance

frankly..all the death note cosplayers are just as annoying as all of the naruto cosplayers.
it used to be horribly bad with all the fma and inuyasha characters walking around. now they are just as rare as sailor moon.

my next con isnt until the end of feb. gives me enough time to finish my fai :3

I was Sailor Moon for Halloween one year xD
and i was also Sakura (from Cadrcaptors) one year i dressed in her Cat costume from when she fought the lightning card (wow i stil remember that)
and i have a Sailor moon wand and all sorts of random sailor moon odds and ends
a Cardcaptors Wand
and the book of Clow Cards
and a bunch of little cardcaptor action figures

those were my two favorite shows when i was little



and i'm super jealous......my dads going to Tokyo.....without us!

yeah the Death Note cosplayers are getting big like Naruto and Bleach..thanks to cartoon network it's one of the those anime..fan base will kill it..but it is a really good anime..lots of twists and stuff..which I like

Ya, I haven't been on in a while. BUT I was at my convention yesterday and the day before, and I was hugged/tackled/attacked by TONS of people!! I was cosplaying as Matt [ya, not very good considering there were 3 matts, 6 mellos, and at least 10 nears. And, yes, tons of us were cosplaying from Death Note]

I met someone who was missing a lens in their glasses because of being glomped! Ya, and I met him while he was being dragged away by a fan girl.

at our cons here in FL, glomping is against the rules. too many people have gotten hurt or gotten into fights because of costumes being destroyed. when i first cosplayed inuyasha about 6-7 years ago, i was tackled from across a tile room. the girl was smaller than me and had launched herself into the air, so that her legs wrapped around my waist, which i had to grab her to try and keep my balance, but ended up failing miserably and ended up falling hard onto the floor. that didnt feel very nice.

i think its flattering when someone likes you, or your costume so much that they just want to hug you and take pictures. but when they WONT let go, thats when its an invasion of a personal bubble.

i dont mind glomps, really, just ask first ^^;

i think my only other con pet peeve is when you see someone cosplaying the same thing as you and you think thats totally cool because hey, they must be a big nerd just like you, only to see that they are giving you nasty looks and making X signs at you. this happened about 2 months ago at metrocon while we were cosplaying ouran host club.

they were easily dubbed as noobs, which made us feel a little better when we had cosplayer alumni on our side. even though there are convention rules, cosplayers have a sort of unspoken spoken rule book, and being rude to your fellow cosplayer just because youre cosplaying the same thing is a large no no. cant we all just be excited that someone else likes the same thing as much as you do?

yeah..you have to respect each other in the cosplay world..doesn't matter if the cosplay sucks cuz they're a beginner..it's all good..and I've never been glomped before..I've been hugged by guys..but never glomped..and I really hope I don't in the future with Saix, Hilde, Yue Ying, Yuzuki, or Screaming Mantis..I'm fine with the hugs..heh
I think glomping's banned for AX..I forgot..I didn't see any this year..I know signs are banned..the "I'll give hugs for pocky" signs and stuff like that..that sucks that you were super glomped >.<
