A few years ago, I started just taking a picture of the pictures we drew. A heck of a lot easier then trying not to squish a piece of paper.

Wanna share?

Do you have to sign up for that? What's a good time to go? DS is doing Jedi academy on our only DHS day and we want to hit RR and ToT in the morning.

No. They start every 30 minutes. It is obviously less crowded the earlier you go in the day.

Thanks for the tip! :-) Everything is less crowded in the morning obviously. ;) Maybe it won't be crowded in the evening either. Fun!

WOW - talent is on show here. No way am I putting my drawing up for review that looks like a 3 finger/broken arm person drew it. Love to do this though. It is a hidden spot to many, and a lot of fun. I can't remember her name, but the female animator is so encouraging to kids. She suggests that they be creative, then shows their creations at the end of the class.

This is one of my girls favorite things to do at HS. Some times they like doing one drawing, and then turn around and go back in for the next session since they do a different character every half-hour. It is not often that you get a chance to receive drawing instructions from a real Disney artist.

What my girls do in order to keep the drawings somewhat protected is to stop in at the gift shop on the way out. The person behind the counter will almost always furnish a rubber band and a plastic bag. They just roll the drawings in the bag and secure the whole thing in a back pack. It also helps that we usually do this in the afternoon. It is a good chance to get out of the heat. A chance to sit down for a half hour, in the air conditioning, is a nice little refresher.

A tip I got on here before is to take an empty paper towel roll to put the drawings in. Works like a charm!

We love Animation Academy. DD loves to draw. We try to visit at least once per trip.

OP your drawings are awesome :goodvibes. I always say we are going to go to the Animation Academy but we never end up doing it. This time I am determined to do it since we will be doing DHS twice this trip. Thanks for sharing your wonderful artwork. When we return, I will post ours as well :thumbsup2.

My husband and I have started trying to do the class once or twice a trip. I think this is the only one that I've taken a picture of.

I like just doing the picture. I don't know what I'd do with them, once I got home, KWIM?

It's also one of my favorite things to do. :goodvibes

I forgot to post the tip I learmed here on The Dis - I bring an empty tube of paper towel roll with us in the bag tp the park. We roll up our art work and store it in the tube. :wizard:
